17/9/2021 11:12 | On a more general point then public transport in West Midlands / Greater Birmingham really needs a fundamental shake-up / complete reorganisation - not just fine tuning. The primary local rail company is cancelling service all the time, for the primary bus company then my views are already know, and the metro is a complete balls up - for cost saving when they built the New Street extension five years ago then they used inferior materials - and the track is being all dug up and replaced now causing disruption in the city centre. | livewireplus
17/9/2021 11:06 | Thanks .... There is a balance between bean counting and customer service which can be difficult to get right in the case of commercial companies running public transport operations. As you may have guessed then my opinion is that NEX have got that wrong and are concentrating on bottom line. You can only cost cut so much ... and if you've p@ssed off your customers in the process ... | livewireplus
17/9/2021 10:51 | No BOD buying NY, still got it on a watchlist. Livewire, thanks for your thoughts and observations, appreciated. | essentialinvestor
17/9/2021 10:42 | I keep adding, the share price is clearly oversold and I feel the share price will be higher next year as conditions get back to normal. Buy market bottoms, not tops and take a longer time view. | ny boy
16/9/2021 17:18 | Bus station travel shops axed by National Expresshttps://www.b | livewireplus
16/9/2021 17:09 | A couple of years ago I would have diagreed with you. Unfortunately that isn't the case now. Latest cost cutting at expense of customer service is that the NX Travel Shops will close. They cite lack of walk in customers. Obviously NX 'management' haven't been past the one in Corporation Street recently. Queues are out the door and along the road. Another 'spin' excuse for declining customer service from the compang. If things are that dire then NX appear to be on a slippery slope. Just my 2p's worth .... | livewireplus
16/9/2021 10:32 | Porche Why don't you do one and concentrate on your own personal demons. You're spreading fear and panic accross all the boards you visit, every company is doomed as far as you're concerned. Go invest in the US and stop scaremongering on every board. | jsg123
15/9/2021 21:59 | Another terminal rubbish company, too many share placements, mad dilution, thin profits and bad covid winter coming, back to sub 1.50. Who wants to go on scuzzy public transport anymore. All transport and leisure in U.K. getting hammered, dump it and get in next spring and trade it, these are not investments any more, U.K. a hopeless basket case anyway, ftse 100 same value as dec 30th 1999, pathetic, S&P has 3xd in that time, brexit an epic fail for U.K. plc. | porsche1945
15/9/2021 13:29 | Bit of a bargain IMHO. Now below recent placing at 2.20. I hold from 1.90 ish on aggregate but for various reasons, happy for it to go lower. Always do your own thinking. | creddy
15/9/2021 09:34 | Since the H1 it's been melting, they flagged up increasing UK completion on some routes. | essentialinvestor
15/9/2021 09:33 | This has really taken a battering lately, back in at 225 | paulof2
13/9/2021 09:51 | Every time I've added its dropped further. Travel stocks ok today but not NEX, really baffling considering half their revenue is contracted so they get paid anyway!! | jsg123
09/9/2021 16:08 | hammer bottom at last | yf23_1
09/9/2021 16:04 | I did same but yesterday think it's on the turn chart looks like it | mwainw1973
09/9/2021 16:00 | Added my final chunk this morning at 234p, in for the long game, good recovery after a nice correction imo dyor as usual Right back to the late afternoon Tuscan sun and amazing light/colours. | ny boy
06/9/2021 11:20 | Flixbus are killing NEX on ticket prices. | joestalin
06/9/2021 10:50 | No idea... but it is a big operation .... and Birmingham is their HQ. If they are going to manage other divisions in a silmilar manner then ..... !!! | livewireplus
06/9/2021 09:30 | Revenue % of their midlands operation for total UK division? | hawfinch
06/9/2021 08:44 | Sold at 264 will re enter but not yet. 230 for me when Mac D and RSI look to maybe turn around | mwainw1973
06/9/2021 08:39 | And a final follow-up observstion on my recent experiences with Nat Xpress West Midlands - a major metropolitan area that includes UK's second biggest city certainly deserves a better public bus transport service than the major operator is presently supplying. The NX management don't seem to be monitoring the day-to-day operations and certainly never use their own bus services to travel... !!! | livewireplus
06/9/2021 08:15 | Never mind the share not performing as expected ... their bus services in West Mids not performing as expected. The reorganizing of services at end of last month was poorly handled and poorly publicised - especially compared to how well a reorganization was done a few years ago. Some buses routes that have been renumbered have some buses displaying old number and some displaying new number. Some bus stops still displaying old number. Imaginary buses (that don't turn up) are zhown running in real time on their app. Sometimes buses that are running suddenly jump 3 or 4 mins on real time app. So using tbe app is now a complete waste of time. And as for yesterdays Sunday services then they were a complete mess. Missing buses on a X route to airport so a gap of an hour between buses. On another route that was supposed to be every 20 mins then 2 turning up at same time hence 40 mins between buses - how they managed that with light Sunday traffic who knows. And to add to it all then I have noticed thar there contactless readers for tap and go credit / debit cards are often playing up. So in West Mids the company management seem to have lost the plot as regards to running a reliable customer service. Am partially giving up on them and will be using the car more when even travelling alone. I'd prefer to use public transport but if they can't provide reliable service compared to previously ..... | livewireplus
03/9/2021 14:03 | Adding more if we get to 250p, not performing as well as I expected but prepared to stay patient for recovery from Q4 onwards | ny boy
05/8/2021 14:29 | Summer holiday vols but travel sector slowly drifting higher, patience required imo | ny boy
03/8/2021 09:01 | Attractive entry points these dips, will soon take off again as travel sector attracts more hungry bargain hunters post COVID UK equities are cheap in my books, expect plenty of M&A activity, plenty of foreign predators circling for attractive buys. Bought into (AO.) As an attractive entry dyor as usual | ny boy |
