17/10/2016 22:51 | Onething, it's always a risk but where I differ is that Qdots are a reality now. Samsung, LG and most other display OEMs are pushing or plan to push the tech. I think any reasonably person has to assume cadmium isn't the way forward. I also think the likes of Dow and Merck can at least match Hansol's Qdot quality. It's just a chemical composition after all. The battle will reduce to who can produce the cheapest and the best. Merck and Dow are masters at this and they have sided with Nano. (I think it's because of Nano's process and unique IP). This reasoning was the same last month as it is now so I see no reason to sell. The selling has stemmed from a decline in the price as I see it just as a lot of PI buying came from a rising price. So you become a price sensitive trader aka a 'sheep'. I also do not think ME is a liar and a cheat. This is just my impression but I sense most here feel the same apart from slip. Dow have clearly met with some difficulties but they have not thrown in the towel. Merck were persuaded recently with Wah Hong. Both paying significant upfront fees. Merck I believe they will build their factory at which point you will have two large manufacturing hubs with Nano's capacity at 1 million TV's as it stands today. | ![]() kuss1
17/10/2016 22:30 | IH/Crunch55: Why so bitter? You lose your argument when you imply that TCL and Hisense are happy with their QDots. ME clearly meant that most of the manufacturers want Nanoco's QDots. There is no other cadmium-free solution. Nanoco can only sell to their partners, but ME also said that they are working with the manufacturers also to make sure that the OEMs are successful. At least, give Nanoco credit for the Merck and Wah Hong contracts. Both have already provided more details than Dow ever have. In past presentations, ME stated that Nanoco is "a leader". This time he stated that they are "THE LEADER". Today's interview with Merck makes the level of Merck commitment very clear. Merck would not do so if there were not very high interest from the TV manufacturers. Merck also appears to be planning to use QDots for life sciences, antennas and many new applications. Nanoco stock will probably go down in the short term, but the long term possibilities are exciting. | mwwh
17/10/2016 22:24 | Kuss, many thanks for the heads-up re colour filters and Samsung. I wonder how many grams of qd's are required for this new tech? hxxp://www.digitaltr | ![]() fil340
17/10/2016 21:11 | You mean that oscar that is gathering dust on a workshelf at Runcorn ? I didnt realize a prism award was all that was needed to perfect a product and have people fighting over themselves to get at it.lol Watch the interview and get real about the facts instead of blowing smoke is all im saying. | ![]() ih_169538
17/10/2016 20:52 | Church.. Yes realistically as the winners of the the best Oscars,The prism awards for CFQD..hope QMC come onboard in 2019. | ![]() syd777
17/10/2016 20:52 | “We’re seeing all the major display brands, the TV brands, big OEMs, wanting this technology,” he says. There is the comment. He is implying that all tv manufacturers want qd technology not in particular Nanocos only.Other tv OEMS already have this technology in their tvs eg.Samsung,Hisense,T | ![]() ih_169538
17/10/2016 20:41 | "all TV manufacturers want Nanoco QDOTS" and "Nanoco is THE LEADER in QDOTS". C'Mon ....resally??? If they wanted them so badly there would be sales. They sent out samples recently ,if they were so great and "everyone" wants them then where are contracts, sales and revenues. They are not the "leaders",if they were they would have sales and contracts to supply materials. They are still sending out samples to see if they even work in the film coders final product. Its why the CEO said he couldnt promise when a tv will have their material in it.Your blowing smoke on both comments. | ![]() ih_169538
17/10/2016 20:30 | Come on guys the low was 48p!! that elastic thread is gunna pull the share price back up ! 90p by Christmas....gla. | ![]() wisteria2
17/10/2016 20:23 | MR.Oz you seem to 88% of the time take a negative view of Nanoco,it would be nice to see an upbeat comment from yourself,as by 2018 you might see the potential, and I will be around if the planet doesn't go to WW3. | ![]() syd777
17/10/2016 19:57 | So last month everyone buying; this week everyone selling but ready to re-buy. Nuts if you ask me. Fil, that color filter technology coming in Samsung's 3rd generation of Qd TV's in Jan 2017. It's already with us. The whole industry, LG, Merck, Nanosys etc... playing catch up with Samsung. ME is right when he say's every OEM wants Qdots and now. Again ME said no funding needed. large upfront payments, even larger milestone payments. Nano could double its market cap on 500ks out of Runcorn alone. Suppose each to their own successful strategies... | ![]() kuss1

17/10/2016 19:18 | I'm not sure you should read too much into the falling share price. Obviously, if you have a position, you want to look after it; but the floor has always been the 40p level, so I guess it makes sense for shorters to try and push it down again. Then of course, they can change tack. I have a relatively small position now, but not too worried. I will be waiting for the updraught in confidence that it will come in due course. I think Slippy has done no more than get lucky with the overreaching of the recent share price , which in the event was not justified by sales. But as others keep on pointing out: now there's MERCK and WAH HONG. And enough cash, probably, to see us through. | ![]() brucie5
17/10/2016 19:09 | Yep, I hope the market just eases up and acts more reasonably once some revenue arrives. I want to be able to research the next stage of qd exploitation without vultures spouting tales of doom and dead men walking. (Merck apparently interested in using qd's for colour filters; CCM colour change media. Uses even more dots than film. Ref ME's presentation of 11th.) | ![]() fil340

17/10/2016 17:48 | yep 0.55% from JP Morgan from Thursday last week. If share price does drop to c 40p that will be a launch pad with new news assisted to rocket share price big time. Being negative now i hope it does drop to 40p so i can buy back in again. Huge anticipation with Nanoco as it has to be the future just a case of when and those still with holdings will be on the wave that i need to try and catch back up | firminator1

17/10/2016 16:50 | Well, at least we are part of Merck's roadmap.. Merck sets sights on 2018 and outlines future strategic roadmap hxxp://www.european- "Among other things, Merck is using investments to further strengthen the innovative strength of this high-margin business sector. Firstly, Merck intends to sustainably secure its leadership in display materials. To this end, the company recently commissioned a EUR 30 million OLED materials production plant in Darmstadt. In the course of 2017, Merck is planning the market launch of the innovative liquid crystal technology SA-VA for large-area displays. In August, Merck announced a collaboration with Nanoco of the United Kingdom, a leading manufacturer of quantum materials. Secondly, Merck aims to use its expertise in liquid crystals in order to succeed in areas beyond displays. In August, the company announced the construction of a production unit for liquid crystal window modules, which are to reach the market in 2018. In the automotive sector, liquid crystals are to be used for example in smart antennas with very high data processing volumes." | ![]() seconduser

17/10/2016 16:01 | Il Mostro: His response that "We should look out for sales" is the best possible response. Besides the fact that sales is the only thing that matters, ME will not be able to run away from this milestone. He did make some very positive comments, including "all TV manufacturers want Nanoco QDOTS" and "Nanoco is THE LEADER in QDOTS". | mwwh
