04/11/2019 17:21 | As has been said before, only the ii's have the leverage to influence the position of the ceo. Pi's are just along for the ride. If you think the company is toast, then short it, but don't complain if it goes the other way. What is it do you suppose that an alternative ceo would do that the present one isn't? | andycapped
04/11/2019 06:18 | Can someone confirm buyout rules is it the highest price for the last 12 months? Plus 25% holding? If so watch out for mike if he fails as he has done tear after year to make sales the buyout could be 15p he has until June? So put the pressure on him if this is his goal then he only needs to make one final appearance before he screws pi’s for good. | mrplay
03/11/2019 23:16 | How many times did he mention the big "S" like there was some kind of connection there.Basically they lost out to Hansol many years ago when DOW couldn't secure a deal to supply. Its been pumped everytime just before PPs when they needed funds to survive. As far as Nanosys goes they are a private company and no one knows if they are profitable or not. They have had a series of cash injections over the last few years so that should tell you it's not as rosy as some think.Pretty well sounds like from the last company call that they are moving the shells around again.Personally I have no joy in seeing investors losing cash.I invested mine in the other QD company and know how it feels to wait for the market to arrive and for the company to create revenues.Right now I don't see any QD manufacturer at the moment blowing it outta the water.Time will tell and quite frankly there's enough opportunities for every qd manufacturer to get a piece of the pie | ih_169538
03/11/2019 22:37 | If ROHS happens then China will use Nanosys because then they can offset tariffs using a US Company. It will still be EU compliant. Of course all of us experts on this wall really know exactly what we are talking about... don’t we .! | botbot1202
03/11/2019 20:10 | The cadmium extension severely hampered Nanoco's ability to sell into the display market. Only a change in legislation will shift that. My hunch is that Rohs will go our way this time, as further extension will simply allow the Chinese to flood the European market with cheap cadmium cased QD LCD displays, which they seem to have already done in the States. Whether this will bring home the bacon for Nanoco remains to be seen. | andycapped
03/11/2019 20:00 | Same as dows factory. If you read the past comments from mike it is hilarious. Orders imminent mentioned many times over the years. The biggest ramper has always been mike right before he sells. | mrplay
03/11/2019 17:11 | I think botbot is closer to the truth than Paul. The new factory is sitting idle waiting for orders...orders that might never come.Sounds like a pretty successful business plan having employees and an idle factory with no orders. | ih_169538
03/11/2019 15:28 | royalties increasing director buys share price up from here , or buyout BB | black bird
03/11/2019 10:41 | The Vuzix blade uses DLP projector technology- nothing to do with Nanoco. It's the next generation of Vuzix glasses that are reported to be using the Plessey microLED display, which do incorporate nanoco's red quantum dots. | andycapped
03/11/2019 10:27 | Mr Play...hxxps://www.t The AR glasses with Nanoco technology are already on the market it's taken the oem supplier Vuzix two decades to get there. Consumer price $1,000 but like all new tech this will fall, note early days of smart phone and the precursor mobile phones were prices were very high at the start. There is a nice video highlighting the product, now all you need to do is consider the huge tech applications in every day life e.g. military, civil aviation, surgeons and doctors, not just every day uses. | paul planet earth
03/11/2019 09:25 | 15 years mike has been talking of commercial success. His bank account is a success, many many millions Yet we have never seen a single display despite the ceo stating first quarter 2018. Fast approaching its second year delay. Shorters? no just poor performance. How does a shorter delay display? Or any commercial contract. A ceo can fail to sign or keep contracts. What ever happened to the lg contract? Contracts mean nothing with nanoco. They have had many which always end before a commercial product.Actually producing a commercial product for sale that will be the real moment for nanoco. CEO has sold off the majority of his shares. He is the reason for nanocos failure to launch. | mrplay
03/11/2019 08:57 | Crunch...plenty of facts out there Nanoco just signed a commercial agreement with Plessey and Nanoco have a brand new fully paid for manufacturing facility plus no debt..The issue is it is taking time to bring the product to market in its multiple uses. My expectation is production to start ramping up with fingers crossed some announcements in the coming weeks. The ii's would not be increasing their stake unless they thought likewise. Of course these BB get spoiled by a plethora of shorters who spend their days and nights on deliberate and often vane attempts to talk down a companies prospects. Who knows with Nanoco we could also see a takeover bid from Softbank, Apple, a pe entity, the current market capitalisation at circa £40m is very low compared to the buying opportunity, patents, technology, commercial potential. They have been on business 18 years as a spin off from Manchester University so no fly by night business that's for sure. A bid price 150p to 200p could come in at any time valuing the company at £400m to £500m and very cheap given the QE market is growing at 27.8% annually and will reach $8b within 3 years. There are also only approx 10 suppliers globally for we dots most at very small only Nanosys Inc whose sales seem to be flying. Although pe owned some estimates are a list price of between 58 to $+5 per share. The business is a similar size to Nanoco so events may well be on the cusp of dramatic change as the market/industry for QE products is beginning to really take off as main oem players are gearing up. Samsung is investing $28 b in a new QE TV factory due to come on line next year. Interesting times ahead. | paul planet earth
03/11/2019 04:03 | Just trying to keep up with the nanoco faithful posting in quantum forums looking for holes in their ship.Maybe they should be here to help plug the holes and hail instead. | ih_169538
02/11/2019 14:54 | Crunch, have you anything insightful to offer that enhances debate on here? Not seen anything in the years you've been posting. Don't see QMC taking the world by storm either. Bore off. | wjs81
01/11/2019 13:46 | Dont forget to ordrr your 55 "demo TV that comes free with a poufee support system ( value $19.99 plus tax ) and a bonus free propigator grow light..all yours for zero dollars...no returns accepted | ih_169538
01/11/2019 09:30 | Surely bonus amounts must be awarded.Looking at about £1 million overall, which, for such high profile individuals, is not that great?Have to keep big investors impressed, plus keep staff in placethroughout. | jfacwc
01/11/2019 09:04 | Unsurprisingly Dave in all seriousness as you would expect the basis of these is not that clear. I cant see the 2015 deferred bonus arrangement reffered to in the last full accounts. There appears to be an annual bonus issued on a 'balanced scorecard basis' and an LTIP that appears to require certain challenging share price targets to be met | bagpuss67
01/11/2019 08:37 | ME also sold 1.7m at 42p in May 18. And other sales before that Yes Dave. In the real world on what conceivable basis should the directors get a bonus for getting us here with the company's future finely poised. Delivered the Apple deal fair enough. Lost the Apple deal don't get it. Delivered any of the 13 OEMs. Yep. None. No Launched products in the lighting market. OK. No products. Don't think so | bagpuss67
01/11/2019 08:34 | What performance measures need to be achieved to receive the bonus? | davemac3
01/11/2019 08:33 | You may for example be aware that the compnay issued an existential moment RNS in June. The same month ahead of the announcements the Chairman transferred shares to a company he owns and we don't yet know if that company then sold the shares. In May ME sold 2 million shares at a price of 47p. | bagpuss67
01/11/2019 08:22 | PPE. They are being given shares for free. 750k of them in MEs case. As you will be aware ME has repeatedly "timed the market" to sell a large proportion of the shares he held. | bagpuss67
01/11/2019 08:07 | Bonus time for the directors.Well earned I would say!! | ltinvestor
01/11/2019 07:42 | Todays RNS on shareholder dealings including ME look interesting | paul planet earth
01/11/2019 07:41 | Bagpuss check Director Dealings on todays RNS ME is included. They are all buying together with the recent ii's increases seems something is afoot possible announcement soon fingers crossed. | paul planet earth |
