I’ve run this with and without stops and been taken to the cleaners many times. Now we have recovered I’m having guaranteed stops on as much as I can. Normal stops on the rest and some shares without. Trouble is if it goes wrong with the US customer only guaranteed stops will protect against the huge gap down

Certainly an exit point where your wrong on any share is essential IMO to protect capital - but on a share like this it has to be fairly wide as volatility like today is pretty normal. It got nowhere near the stop I've got here

Stop losses are absolutely essential... to be kept in one's mind, never with these crooked brokers. Learnt my lesson long ago!

Well done jfacwc - nice bonus. I was caught napping but luckily don't use stop losses. Expected plenty of volatility over the next few months but not quite as rapid as that! Agree I think a few 50 range stop losses triggered there - too visible and the reason I don't like them.

In hindsight I guess you are right. Probably normal practice to these companies.Just happy to be caught up in this little incident. Not very often I land a decent catch!

People trading against thier clients stops? I bet the traders at some of the CFD providers use info on thier systems so as to trigger stops and buy back lower.

Stupid NDA will stop them naming the partner all year I expect. The notion that it's apple is still all hanging off one broker rumour. I hope it is, as I hold, but now I hold fewer than last week. Would definitely add again from 45p, unless judgement says not (i tend to buy too soon when my favourite stocks fall, and nano has for long been a favourite). Hard to know where to put one's money, brexit uncertainty is holding down my other stocks. I didn't sell any eden as right or wrong, i think more upside there, same igas. Nano, where is the promptish source of news to keep us up as the daily mail effect and then a week later, thisismoney on line effect (2nd and 8th feb), will begin to fade? They did uplift us for longer than I expected though and with no other driver, we are left 8p higher than before. Wish they would do it again. For now i hold a little free cash and wait to see what to do.

Is the rise unsubstantiated? News of Nanoco/Merck dots in Dyson lighting was new news to me. Maybe others/the market already knew and consider this to have been priced already prior to the recent rises? That news is surely positive for sentiment even without knowledge of financial impact.

Enjoying the (as yet) unsubstantiated rise. Let's hope that sharp needle sitting on your shoulder doesn't pop your bubble rochdae.

If you can't guess the American company with expertise in quantum dots!

Anyway, the issue is now a 'revealed product'. This may take longer. We're in the prototype stage after all. But hugely exciting here.

No point guessing the price, we just know that once the mysterious American company is named and the products revealed, the price will fly and it needs to, I've been under water for so long. Only 20% down on my 80p average so it would be great if I could pass that for starters.
