18/10/2018 21:52 | So much like their display tech its very mysterious and perhaps may be never turn into a commercial product either ? Maybe if ME whispers the Big "A" he will be able to sell a little more stock..oh right that was already done by a third party conveniently a few weeks ago to " pump " it up. | ih_169538
18/10/2018 20:43 | They have a material development agreement with a 'Large US Corp' to supply material related to IR sensors for use in a variety of devices including autonomous vehicles - presumably QDIP or some variation. Think the ground work as reported by Nanoco is supposed to be related to their historical photovoltaic research/CIGS. All very mysterious still. | howl01
18/10/2018 18:42 | Can you point out Nanoco"s sensor technology? What products do they currently have in development? | ih_169774
18/10/2018 14:06 | IMO, this isn't a great hot take. Nanosys was successful because they were in early with the better performing Cd-based QD's. They then leveraged their first-mover advantage by being on the inside and working closely with Samsung on next gen products. The problem hasn't been focus, it has been the slow adoption of NHM QD's, the continuously evolving product designs (developed with the incumbent's QD technologies), and the lack of traction by their channel partners (Dow, Wah Hong, etc.). Be glad they had a diversified approach to the market, otherwise there probably wouldn't be the billables/revenue and the future cash flow of the sensor market. | ih_332411
18/10/2018 13:46 | The thing is Nanosys has focused on display and they have multiple commercial displays. Nanoco said they would focus on display but they spread themselves making light massage lights and plant growing lights. Hence Nanosys doing well and Nanoco still without a single display on the market. | mrplay
18/10/2018 12:19 | Might see what Merck have been up to at IMID 2018 as they have an exhibitor booth and include QDs as product items. Nanosys speaking dots - Nanoco MIA. | howl01
18/10/2018 07:58 | AGM final results out today, and very similar to the problenms facing nano in introducing and selling a new tech to market | notimpressed
17/10/2018 18:19 | And yes Boris - appalling business sense. How they have been burning cash for so long with staffing levels as they were (and are again) is mind boggling bearing. Hopefully tenner may bring them back down to earth but could be too little too late. | howl01
17/10/2018 18:01 | I'm of the impression display is a failure for them. They seem to have much less (if not completely absent) of a profile within the display market - conferences etc. The results presentation had a sense of Dow are now spearheading any penetration in that market and we're concentrating on our mystery 'nanomaterials' development. Maybe the film encapsulation is not as straightforward as they would have us believe - certainly wasn't for Samsung who needed Nanosys IP. Even if minimal revenue generated, a monitor release in the new year would at least prove the application and be very welcome to see. I'm no optoelectrical engineer but the 8k comments regarding the increased brightness requirement don't ring true to me - sounds like an excuse. Think they dropped the ball from the start with display and have been late to develop applications in partnership with the OEMs. Classic over R&D in isolation without enough end application consideration/consul | howl01
17/10/2018 17:08 | from the latest IC spiel it appears wah hong are the bottleneck | notimpressed
17/10/2018 14:43 | It is nanoco dots in the equipment. Won't make us all a fortune however | peterm10
17/10/2018 12:58 | hashertu,you're not from around here are you. | roadster750
17/10/2018 11:40 | hxxps://www.carewear Interesting application. | hashertu
16/10/2018 19:41 | The sell button is only a press away! I only buy trending shares these days - anything that breaks trend i exit. It keeps me out of trouble like recently - I've been pulled out of stuff most of the year so I'm sitting at 95% cash and just over 1% from highs. Only when strength appears in shares will I re-enter. I know people that have lost nearly 2 years gains in the last few weeks | davr0s
16/10/2018 19:22 | Davros in the q & a some responded to mike regarding Dow saying you have been saying this year on year. Lol | mrplay
16/10/2018 19:21 | Lucky you davros. I’m still stuck in here. | mrplay
16/10/2018 18:16 | Crikey is this still going and promising the earth- I drop by once a year now when results come out just to see if anything has happened since I sold out 2-3 years ago just incase they are getting some traction - needn't have bothered by the looks of it | davr0s
16/10/2018 15:02 | cfo bought a few. | boris cobaka
16/10/2018 11:26 | Aren't Peel Hunt their brokers? share price seems to be going up again, set a limit sell of 40p while I'm away from a screen for a couple of hours. | epo001
16/10/2018 11:17 | Now there's a 'BUY' note from Peel Hunt. | dogwalker
16/10/2018 10:39 | 'This has been a year of substantial progress for Nanoco...' yes the share price mirrors that progress. Has the shift in emphasis and strategy really been divulged in a clear and concise manner? It just seems like they're winging it and keeping everything xxd that something will generate some income. If this 'undisclosed' US op hadn't miraculously appeared nano would be toast. Ultimately they've come up with a product no-one seems to want or at least not at anything near the current cost. Add to that they're seemingly appalling business sense and perhaps it's actually a surprise the share price is as high as it is. Sub 30p here we come. | boris cobaka
16/10/2018 10:01 | You mean by hinting at samsung again with the location. Lots of hints, name dropping and I believe I can fly. Doesn't make it so. | mrplay
16/10/2018 09:59 | Quite interesting comments on Dow. | bagpuss67 |
