26/4/2018 00:04 | Chart looking good here. Announcement on AUO production panels imminent imo. Apple still my bet but I'd be happy with Amazon or Google. | rochdae
25/4/2018 23:38 | Boris - quantum dots ARE nano-particles. Quantum dot is just 'popular' terminology, for nanoparticles in size from about 2 to 50 or more nanometres that exhibit optical absorption and re-emission according to their size. | noccer
25/4/2018 19:44 | Pixel 2 was certainly not a flop. It is as one of the top-rated phones. | mwwh
25/4/2018 17:40 | There's partly why the bid was getting g attention today. Large delayed buy 187k | boris cobaka
25/4/2018 17:38 | Too fixated on q-dots. Read the original rns again - 'Under this agreement, Nanoco will scale-up and mass produce novel nano-particles for advanced electronic devices and supply them from its state-of-the-art production facility in Runcorn, UK. In preparation for the quantity of materials needed for these markets, the Partner will fund the capital expenditure required to expand Nanoco's Runcorn facility. The commercial terms of the agreement include payments for success based milestones, and commercial supply of materials, both of which will strengthen Nanoco's balance sheet. Based on the current timelines, commercial supply is anticipated to begin early 2019.' Nowhere does it mention q-dots. For advanced electronic devices it could be for semi-conductor, transistor or even battery components. Not aapl imo. | boris cobaka
25/4/2018 17:36 | Noccer, you and me both! | iomdm
25/4/2018 17:08 | Yes there's plenty of possibilities, but given the cash investment is to set up commercial production starting in early 2019 the bulk of work and testing has been done already. I have been watching Invisage for a couple of years as an interesting non display use of QDs with a fully developed product, and they didn't say who's QDs. I expected their camera sensor to appear in a product probably under licence, and had overlooked their LIDAR IR proximity sensor. I can't say I have spotted clues that Amazon, Waymo or Google have been researching actively with QDs and got as far as a product suitable for rapid transition to commercial production, and not aware that any of these have acquired a company who has done that. However, the possibility that it is Apple is so good, I have an uneasy feeling I can't be that lucky..I am well underwater here - a long term drowner ! | noccer
25/4/2018 16:32 | Alphabet's subsidiaries Waymo (autonomous cars) and Google (new smartphone to replace its Pixel flop) are other possibilities. | petepitstop
25/4/2018 16:22 | Yes, Amazon a close second .... but it's Apple's expertise in Qdots going back many years that appeals. Amazon less so. | rochdae
25/4/2018 16:11 | Could also be Amazon. | tonsil
25/4/2018 15:59 | Something's brewing; unusual to see share price rise steadily like this on mediocre volume. Could just be late appraisal of last RNS, but feels different. | nowenterprise
25/4/2018 15:54 | I guess that's why they decided to offshore in China.... | boris cobaka
25/4/2018 15:49 | Been following this for more than 10 years. My bets on Apple. The Invisage purchase is key. Apple always forward thinking and innovative. Few million here or there is nothing. They also recognise quality and integrity... My take for what it's worth... If it is Apple, then the secret will get out and confirmation would be many times the present price. | rochdae
25/4/2018 15:28 | lol that's about the size of it. They've had to reposition and diversify after the steady decline in their original market. | boris cobaka
25/4/2018 15:27 | Interesting info on hxxps://www.tomsguid Mention of Nanotech regarding upcoming OnePlus 6. 'Nanotech' might be referring to Nanotechnologies. OnePlus is a Chinese company, therefore not the USA partner. "OnePlus 6 Rumors: Release Date, Specs and More: "Additionally, the glass panel has five layers of Nanotech Coating that the company says, will provide an "impression of depth" that its users have apparently asked for." | mwwh
25/4/2018 15:19 | boris ibm--itsy bitsy machines | notimpressed
25/4/2018 14:37 | The last rns is a most welcome surprise. Even though far from deadlines or targets that we a re aware of the US Corp is obviously very keen on nano's tech. It's almost as if they are attempting to accelerate the entire project through the additional funding aswell as incentive payments. | boris cobaka
25/4/2018 14:31 | Eaton Corp is possible as well. | ih_332411
25/4/2018 14:25 | Tight spread now at resistance levels.Be good to see some reviews on the new monitors.According to LSE it looks like Asus/Acer have nearly a third of the gaming monitor market. | geraldus
25/4/2018 14:10 | I agree Noccer... Invisage is a real possibility. Bought by Apple. Whoever this US company is, they are happy to spend capex for Nano. They are also a company Nano have been working with for many years. They are very keen on Nano tech. Not many companies fit that brief. Apple is the front runner for me... | rochdae
25/4/2018 14:06 | someone keeps tickling the bid. | boris cobaka
25/4/2018 13:26 | Yes, monitors coming out now. Will be another announcement soon on that. When they find out who this new US company is, we could see fireworks with Nano. | rochdae
25/4/2018 12:45 | I see from LSE (just about working again) that the promised gaming monitors are being launched today in China that use the AUO QD panel. "Today, Asustek officially released the world's first 4K resolution (3840x2160) flagship gaming monitor with a 144Hz refresh rate in the country, ROG Swift PG27UQ . The product adopts AUO's 27-inch IPS QD panel, supports NVIDIA G-Sync HDR, 384 zone direct type backlight, covers 100% sRGB, 99% Adobe RGB color gamut, 96% DCI-P3 ." | noccer
25/4/2018 12:21 | The great thing about these automotive proximity sensors is that they are spec'ed into car models years in advance of their production date. Also, components like these will be cannibalized (and plagiarized), i.e., used across multiple vehicle platforms. And lastly, as the nanoparticle/sensor technology gains field experience additional products will get designed and spec'ed. Thus, it is a given that when the faucet opens in January it is just the start of a consistent and increasing flowing stream. P.S.- Based on the nature of the automotive qualification process, this didn't just fall out of the sky. They have been quietly working on this for a while. | ih_332411 |
