12/4/2018 14:52 | Oz - Unsure what you mean about "timing?" I'm encouraged with the recent US partnership, especially with the implied reduction in cashburn from the Runcorn plant. Assuming NANO meet milestones...whateve | elrico
12/4/2018 14:24 | elrico , they have never got the timing right before, so suspect not. | mr.oz
12/4/2018 14:06 | The trick with any pre-commercial company is patience and add over time, rather than go gung-ho and hope for the best. NANO has hardly broke from R&D to commercial phase yet. Revenues won't be visible for a few months. The question until this becomes apparent, is will the current cash of c£8.7m with an anticipated tax rebate of £1.84m be enough to see it through to profitability? I guess we need more info related to the unnamed US partner before we can answer that one with any confidence. I would hope the BOD crunched their numbers well ahead of the recent placing with a view it is the last hat to be passed around. | elrico
12/4/2018 13:29 | Patience needed here .... I spent 5 years with IQE in the 15-22p range with much of the same issues (jam tomorrow), then all of a sudden bang ...sold out 80% over 150p as they hit 700% profit (bought some back when they dropped back to 100p). Looking for similar here ... fast forward x12 months and 100p+ is not unreasonable if what we are told is correct. .... so faith and patience ! | hannath

12/4/2018 11:52 | Pre-order for the QD monitors with AUO QD panels now open so looks like they will finally arrive. Pricey as expected. | noccer
12/4/2018 11:41 | don't think ME did (only 42k) but the marketing/ PR lady and the head of the rem com Brendan Cummins helped themselves to some free cash... marketing lady was also later granted options.. | bagpuss67
12/4/2018 10:33 | Directors having 'skin in the game' is a massive vote of confidence. Options granted at a far higher exercise price are ok. Directors owning shares in the company they run can be portrayed as a fundamental belief in their business and product or service. ME i think if i recall correctly got a shed load at that deeply discounted placing @ 18p. Can someone confirm that. | boris cobaka
12/4/2018 09:20 | If the 2 scientists who discovered graphene set up a company based on their reaserch, people would have exactly the negative view as those on this board critical of nano. but look at the potential of the results of that research. The difference between nano and other startups is nano's product and production process is capable of being applied to a wide spectrum of applications and processes | notimpressed
12/4/2018 08:56 | Tipped in IC as Buy. But tipped by who ? By the brokers who are paid to promote the stock. The same people paid to do fund raising by Nanoco. For PIs this is the worst type of investment. No income, no visibility, no directors buying. This is run as MEs personal bank. With a 100m market value it is already total blue sky, jam tomorrow equity. Don’t cry when it unravels. | albert zog
12/4/2018 08:55 | If ME were to buy nano shares, people here, and elsewhere would always accuse him of share price manipulation at each buy and sell stage. This would result in more adverse effects. | jfacwc
12/4/2018 08:19 | A fuller and more positive view emerges about NANO’s future from this interview than from the company’s half year report: | aimingupward2
12/4/2018 07:49 | lauders, whilst I still think nano will succeed, I can empathise with your take on director buys, its the equivalent on having your car repaired, then the mechanic who carried out the work refusing to drive it in case something goes wrong. | notimpressed
12/4/2018 02:37 | In conrast to the always bullish rochdae: bones698 10 Apr '18 - 12:37 - 16417 of 16443 0 2 0 100m mkt cap with little likelyhood of things improving the rest of 2018 and only 5m in the bank is seriously worrying and I suspect will sees these fall to 20p at some point again this year . Maybe if they end up having to raise more money before the end of the year less than 20p. Looks like another firm where the BOD is happy collecting wages and bonuses and delivering sod all. 100m mkt simply not sustainable without delivering results which they clearly are not. So who is right? I agree that NANO will probably survive and the future, if you are really prepared to "hang-in there", will be good. What I really agree with is the bold part. Where are ME buys at the lows and these levels if the future is so Q-dot bright? The BOD sharedealing has mostly consisted of well-timed sells (especailly ME), and they have no incentive to buy any shares in their company. Perhaps they should think about this part? | lauders
11/4/2018 20:52 | Quantum dot's still penetrating multiple industries. At some point there will be general take-up. The investment in nano I see as an industry play. Progress is slow but it will only take a few bits of news to change the landscape. The new american co is paying for doubling of Runcorn and around 20 new members of staff. Monitors and TV display getting closer. Lighting too. No sign of a collapse in the share price despite the financials. 100 million market cap is unusual for the financial profile so there's belief out there. Nano been around since 2001. Would have gone to the wall years ago if there wasn't value in what they do.. | rochdae
