Because it is a discussion board bagpuss. And people can abstain or buy and sell or short stock several times over.

This is the whole point of the board.

And you should be grateful for that as from those posters you are far more likely to get an unblinkered viewpoint.

I just don't get why a bunch of people who don't have any position in this share spend all day setting our their huge knowledge and wisdom on here. What are they trying to prove. Its pretty much only non holders or people who apparently have no short position who post

Bones

You are trying to add a touch of logic to the debate.

It doesn't work here. The reason is simple. There are only mug punters left here. Even the emotionally attached are still mug punters. In fact they are bigger mug punters than the standard mug punters.

Anyone predicting a rise here is a lunatic tbh . We all know funding is needed and so this will drop in the near future to that level . Be it to or 20p . No amount of aimless ramping is going to stop that from happening and the longer they leave it the lower it might be to raise the money

Well slippery you fooled many with your deramping unfortunately and they sold out for no reason. It's a shame you feel you need to ensure others lose money but that says a lot about the person your are. However once bitten twice shy and they won't be fooled by you again.

Sold for intra day 25% profit.Average down to 27p.Poor slippy - even with his (alleged) ultra reliable resources, he can't turn a profit.

Too bad if it does. I was about to buy one, now I'm waiting for the QD version.

Why is Apple using an OLED display in the Iphone 8 then?

I don't think it's a load of 'bull' as you put it. QD's offer tangible benefits to the brightness of LCD display, which is a big deal for mobiles etc. However the adoption has been very low, and there has to be a reason for that.

That's a lot of bull andycapped. Apple is accumulating patents around QD technology, which is the answer to the increased demand for clarity, colour and contrast. How thin my iPhone is going to be, I could not care less. Besides, since when are QD huge? Even the actual film is paper thin. It would make as much difference to the weight of a phone, as the plastic wrap would do for the weight of a sandwich.

Merck, BASF, Orbotech, Panasonic and Sumitomo Chemical will also highlight their latest technology and products at the show, according to the show organizer Taiwan Display Union Association (TDUA). With regards to OLED and Merck, OLED has a very solid future ahead in mobile and other small screen display devices, where the low form factor is a huge advantage for packaging.

QD's shine for larger screens, monitors, TV's etc. QD's may eventually be integrated with OLED, but the tech isn't quite there yet.

So not surprising to see Merck expand their OLED sector, this shouldn't alarm anyone with regards to future sales of QD's, IMO.
