04/9/2017 02:07 | Bit inconsistent Syd, couple of posts back you were giving ME the thumbs up. My thoughts are the CEO has become a liability, he's the little boy that cried wolf, and now no one can believe anything he says. We could easily lose ME and merge his role with one of the other executives, that would save money, and I can't imagine too many investors would miss his presence. | andycapped
03/9/2017 23:35 | Marketing and advertising has been very poor from Nanoco. The PR office has been non existent, while CW has still remained at her job.73.04% of PIs have called for her head and most don't want to Email her as she acts like a B...h towards PIs.Slippys best insider as well as MEs UK play thing. We need a CEO at the company rather then living in the US and acting like a god, while laughing at the present 25 SP,He should resign ASAP as he is failing by living in is yatcht at the expenses of shareholders. The company is not in debt so why not like Slippy has said"GET £10 million from the Bank " he would even be a buyer then! | syd7777
03/9/2017 21:25 | That's interesting, because it appears that Budmaster have dropped the qd growlight from their website.they are still available at £100 elsewhere, but I imagine that the price will drop at some point just to get rid of them. They do work-I bought one and tested it-however considering what else one can buy for the same money-and you need at least two for a small incubator- I'm not surprised they haven't sold. There must be a ton of deep red film somewhere in Nanoco's cupboards, and if it ever comes to an auction then hands off it's mine I tell you. | mrsooty
03/9/2017 20:31 | Reading the transcript over should open a lot of eyes as to what is said and what was or wasn't accomplished. If you keep kicking the can down tbe road investors loose faith and interest and move on..likely the reason the share price has fallen and will continue with the consideration a cash call is coming soon.I am sure insiders know theres a cash call and have moved out and will wait to see how things settle out.Little revenues from propogator lights and not much else coming in the door for revenues signals the shirt term short and longer term need fir cash.Management reduced or staff reduced ??..lots of salary for upper management at the moment. Its hard to get the pigs snout out of the trough once they start feeding. | ih_169538
03/9/2017 20:13 | Michael Edelman We’re not sure. We’re – we may strategically move away from that, because what Osram is trying to do and what we’re trying to do are very different. So Osram is – we’ve been working with Osram for a long time. And they haven’t moved forward with any of our ideas or technologies into a product. And they’ve been very, very focused only on getting high temperature dots, dots working directly on the chip like a phosphor. And that’s a tough technical hurdle. The amount of money and revenue we’re getting from Osram was pretty small less than $200,000 a year, which doesn’t justify the spend in that. So we may take an active decision to pull away from that. As I said, we are focused, because they’re focused on general lighting, which is the most difficult or challenging market to enter from a price point of view and from a technology, if you’re trying to get the dots on a chip, whereas if we focus on areas that we know we can achieve today like the horticultural lighting that can use film. We – the margins are very, very large, and we can do it today. hxxps://www.google.c | ih_169538
03/9/2017 20:05 | "The color filter features high system efficiency and color gamut, but it requires solutions that can achieve high-temperature process stability (180°C, 230°C) and concentration quenching." This is a known issue with Nanos QD..and why Osram dropped them. | ih_169538

02/9/2017 22:43 | I don't know, I merely base my opinion on the fact that Dow are continuing to promote Trevista and maintain their facility in Korea, Merck continue their development with Nanoco, and Wah Hong continue their arrangement. If there is an issue with the longevity of the material that compromises its desirability and use, then I think that would be construed as market sensitive information, and retaining it from investors would be regarded as a serious offence. I believe the it was stated that the Osram deal was abandoned because they wanted QD's on chip, which Nanoco have been open about that they can't deliver at this time. | andycapped
02/9/2017 22:28 | Andy How do you know there isnt an issue with the quality of the material ? Clearly Osram remarked on it..Samsung remarked on it and why they went to Hansol instead..Dow hasnt got a sale from any sampling..Those three demos from CES bedroom showroom are on a shelf in the back probably and no longer on display for a reason.Whats that saying..."If the qd cant take the heat, then get out of the kitchen !" | ih_169538

02/9/2017 21:07 | Howl... Good post | mr.oz
02/9/2017 20:24 | I don't personally think there's any doubt about the quality of the technology. Can't honestly see the likes of Merck, Dow and Wah Hong wanting to associate themselves with a bad product. There is clearly an issue with volume demand for CFQD, and it's been pretty well pointed out to us what that issue is- the 2019 extended date for cadmium exemption. It's taken the heat off the manufacturers to implement cad free screens. I can't honestly see it is much of a leap to go from cadmium to cad free, it's supplied as a film after all, same as the cadmium product and I would think it would simply require a few tweaks of the colour calibration to adjust screens to the new film. In my view the chief hope for earlier adoption will be if Samsung hammer home the message that their product is greener and less toxic. If that has a material affect on rivals sales, then they may wish to use CFQD earlier than is required by legislation. | andycapped

02/9/2017 17:39 | mrplay Nothing is far fetched here. I heard Nano are thinking of employing Bernie Madoff as an advisor to the board. Lol | slipperysidewinder |
