16/4/2015 11:03 | Thanks for clarifying the 35% LP, that makes it simpler | redtrend
16/4/2015 10:52 | Redtrend it is quite simple the Glencore cut a straight 35% so you just take 35% off of the spot value. The old way of representing showed increasing all in costs as the Nickel price went up which made even a good technical performance look like failure. This should produce a more even cost figure. The technical challenges and the compressed Nickel and gold values are the real battle here. We will all have to wait another 3 months to find out. Good luck | lucky punter
16/4/2015 09:54 | sorry double tap | lucky punter
16/4/2015 09:52 | Redtrend it is a better way to report as it stops the Glencore margin distorting the figures and provides better visibility. I met Kalaa several times at investor forums and did suggest removing the Glencore element at the time. However it will only be for a bit longer then they will remove the refining rather than the smelting and refining. | lucky punter
16/4/2015 09:36 | So comparing this quarter to the previous disastrous quarter to show an improvement rather than to this quarter last year which is what they normally do. Gold s costing $34 a oz to produce; that is a $34 loss for each oz produced and 14358 ozs were produced. Nickel looks slightly better with a $2200 margin on nickel for 2072 tons. The company just slightly better than wiped it's own face in the quarter after the heavy losses of the previous quarter. Clearly things are improving but the erratic technical performance is always the risk. The full year figures have missed their target by a long long way. All to play for but not for a couple of months and at a lower price I suspect. No hurry. Good luck all. | lucky punter
16/4/2015 08:50 | It is much better than I thought too, but the new way of reporting the nickel all in costs and price received can be confusing. What are $7,293/t and $9,489/t equivalent to in spot terms? | redtrend
16/4/2015 08:50 | Top up opportunity if MMs hold this price IMO | pas100
16/4/2015 08:35 | We all know we need a recovery in the nickel price but that report is better than I anticipated all the same. | mr macgregor
16/4/2015 07:29 | Very positive. Costs under control., production up. Certain people who claim to have sold will be rushing to buy back. | mreasygoing
16/4/2015 07:22 | My thoughts too the way things have been going.Could we get a bit of share price movement in the right direction. | casabella2
