Anyone selling now would be extremely foolish imo

SC, if you are convinced low 12's are on the cards you can always sell and attempt to buy back lower, particularly now as XD.

Providing you want to buy back. I would tend to view Mondi on a 3 year hold view fwiw.

Mondi's Russian business is much larger.

I've mentioned a number of times what the likely outcome may be, so won't repeat that again.

Market beginning to doubt the competence of the BOD - kappa ditched their russian ops over a month ago, Mondi still dithering

Amazingly still below 1300p. Appears to have been marked down by another broker

* they have a break clause if deal completion does not happen before a certain date.

It would not surprise me if Mondi end up walking away with little to nothing for the business, that's been my view since the original announcement, as previously posted.

At this stage the market just wants the uncertainty removed, any disposal proceeds are arguably secondary, particularly with the share price near current levels. The current share price level does not factor in some bumper pay day ahead.

Now arguable the most undervalued FTSE100 constituent. Couldnt resist another small amt at 1250, not least for the divi.

Wise decision on the time frame, collect the divi's,nibble as they fall.
Prepare for a lot of sector rotation around interest rates expectations.

Guy, there's an exceptional profit on disposal in the results just gone,
so underlying EPS gives a clearer picture.

On current consensus estimates (which can rapidly change) FY EPS in the year ahead
is somewhere around 7% below FY 2021.

The packaging sector usually gets whacked during recessions because of the cyclical
element, but this downturn has been mild to this point.

Best time to buy a cyclical is when news flow is dire, which usually corresponds to the
most difficult time to buy!.

This is in Stage 4 decline. Expect prices to stabilize around 450-500p.
