24/3/2014 14:41 | That was probably an "outline" presentation... | pilot48
24/3/2014 13:53 | Hope the larger shareholders are applying a finger to somewhere sensitive. Signs of real growth called for or a change of management at the top. | p1nkfish
24/3/2014 13:48 | Understandable. My beef is one time I heard the ceo and he massively failed to sell the company. Waste of time. | p1nkfish
24/3/2014 12:44 | Sell recommendation in Investors Chronicle last week. Ran out of patience by the looks of it. | pilot48
24/3/2014 08:31 | HiIs this a case of great technology/poor management, in which case at least something can be done about it, or is the technology no great shakes? Water monitoring division looks decent if unexciting, but I'm yet to be convinced about the desalination side, which is their supposed flagship. What, if anything, makes their tech stand out against vastly bigger players in this field such as Hyflux, who have been leading desalination in Singapore, have massive Chinese contracts and a proven ability to deliver large scale plants?I'm interested in investing in desalination in general, but the lack of new contract announcements here leads me to believe there's nothing too amazing on offer here. Perhaps management more than happy to take quite decent remuneration packages and potter about whilst big opportunities go to bigger/better players. Am I wrong? Perhaps I'm being too harsh, and have underestimated what really differentiates their desalination tech from competitors. Would be interested in all views. | peartreegardens
17/3/2014 08:02 | Thanks visionon. Pink fish/pugugly also keen to understand explicitly why you feel the management are not delivering. Clearly you are both not impressed with them so keen to understand why and what you suggest needs to be changed? Thanks. | norbert colon

13/3/2014 11:22 | Will soon be a look at Chinese pollution in Money Week. Let's see if MWG get a mention. Would help get some interest. | p1nkfish
12/3/2014 16:19 | Nobby. For starters I suggest you look at the 2012 accounts on MWG's website and compare and contrast the number of pages dedicated to operational success with the number dedicated to executive pay and share options etc. | visionon
12/3/2014 14:04 | Guys Seems a number of negative comments re: the Management Team / BoD here - can anyone add some meat on the bones for me as I have also heard some similar comments from a good source and I am trying to piece together what the issue(s) are. I currently hold. Nobby | norbert colon
12/3/2014 12:32 | visionon:> Great thoughts and segmental breaks. Thanks Re Membranes - I know of a number of other companies who are trying to develop improved membranes so I think you are very right to be cautious. | pugugly
12/3/2014 09:13 | The products are good, there is a market. It will happen but perhaps sooner and at lower losses with others driving the bus. These are my issues: Speed of delivery & losses. MWG buyout vulnerability will show when real traction starts and before the share price responds fully. The big shareholders would dictate the price and they will shield MWG until ready to go at a decent premium. I have no doubt a big industrial group has an eye on MWG progress. | p1nkfish
12/3/2014 09:03 | pinkfish:> Agree with your last sentence but I think you possibly should use the word IF instead of when. With the current management I am unsure about when. Also if the products are so good and offer such potential why has no company higher up the environmental chain taken them out? i am sure many stale holders from higher prices would be very quick to accept a bid at a slight premium. | pugugly
12/3/2014 08:46 | I agree about ultra long and 100% support the products. Not sure about management though. MWG ticks lots of boxes on ethical, geographic diversity, technology, innovation. The management? When the products gain proper traction this will be a good multiple of where it is now, I feel sure. | p1nkfish
12/3/2014 08:10 | I for one am happy with results, steady as she goes. Really waiting on signing of Xugong Island contract to set the wheels in motion in China (Membrane Division). No debt, over £11M cash in the bank. Monitoring division progressing nicely. Wastewater treatment also looks to be moving now: "During the year we have seen increased interest in the patented saline wastewater treatment technology which has been developed by Poseidon Water Limited (51% owned by Modern Water plc). The company is actively pursuing a major project in joint venture with a UK water company." This is one of my ultra long shares and needs to be looked at in a 3-5 year view imo. OD | opaldouglas
12/3/2014 07:53 | Disaster zone - only ahd a quick initial look at the results - Cannot see any reason to invest in this perpetual looser. Not sure if it the products or management or both that are dragging the company down. | pugugly
12/3/2014 07:43 | Progress on the finals but only the funding round is giving them a cushion and I can't see breakeven for >> 12 months. Any comments? | p1nkfish
10/3/2014 14:21 | Would have hoped they would find their way into the Blue Book anyway. Not a reason to RNS expect to prove open for business. Need news with revenue meat. | p1nkfish
10/3/2014 13:50 | I certainly wouldn't buy something with $7k and $20k price tags that have no descriptions against them. I hope the actual book is better! hxxp://www.usabluebo hxxp://www.usabluebo | gb904150
03/3/2014 00:03 | interesting | p1nkfish
19/2/2014 09:14 | Needs a decisive move >45p to break to the upside else this could easily go back towards 32p. With water shortages in ME, China, SW USA it should be gaining traction. | p1nkfish |
