08/12/2018 17:05 | Despite the various disappointments associated with supposed JVs with Chinese companies across the markets that have never come to much, I feel genuinely encouraged by the 3 JVs / partnerships that MWG now have in place with Sunup, WEC and Advent. They would have to be very unlucky not to secure some decent contracts across these three streams and hopefully 2019 will see the fruits of their labour.Gib main works contract also still to play for. | norbert colon

07/11/2018 16:06 | Most contractors work on margins much less than 5%! That would be a dream for most so if MWG acheive anything from 5% upwards it would be fantastic. You are correct re: the significant increase in revenue they will receive as a result of this contract but this is a pure 'one-off' contract. Whether it helps or hinders their overall Group cash flow remains to be seen; hopefully they will ensure the payment plan is not unduly onerous with a decent upfront payment.Yes they have received payment for the Early Works contract (site clearance etc) but that is not part of the £22m main works.Yes I've seen the hoarding up - all good and let's hope the Gib Govt pull their finger out and get on with the main works pronto. Great showcase project for the Group once completed. | norbert colon
07/11/2018 15:56 | Fair point Norbert about the profit not feint exactly £22m but the scale of the plant will see then receive £22m in revenue/ cash flow and atleast half as profit. I’m not sure how they will build such a large plant with 5% margin, the key is getting it formally ratified and you forgot to mention mwg HAVE recieved some form of payment already .... maybe for the hoarding that’s gone up and mwg have also tweeeted it which makes me believe the formal process is just a matter of time and not IF as you have put it. | munchbox54
07/11/2018 15:35 | I just feel the need to quash some untruths cited on here re: the Gib contract. It may be worth circa £22m to MWG but that's the Contract Value from which they need to procure, build, commission and handover the plant. They will hopefully make a high single digit margin profit (maybe £1.5 - £2m max).No special divi.WRT to the Contract for the main works being signed nobody can guarantee it, however, given MWG are in JV with Northumbrian Water / AquaGib on the bid and are already preferred bidder it would be very unfortunate for them not to get awarded it unless the necessary repricing of the contract throws up any nasties which I see as unlikely.I am as keen as anyone to see it go ahead ASAP. | norbert colon
07/11/2018 15:12 | Puggey1. The fact is I know the deal will 109% be signed. The plant itself will 100% be covered in a green coloured plastic roof / sheeting. The fact is mms here are not expecting anything and with £22m coming in over the next 12-14months I can 100% expect a special diva payment especially as sunup will also be very happy with and personally think it will be £10m or 9p a share, so apart from a tripling / quadrupling of the share price I’m hoping for a nice 40k cheque for my patience in 12 months time. | munchbox54
07/11/2018 14:51 | Maybe Munchbox has seen Simon Humphrey signing the Gibraltar deal on google maps | pugg1ey
07/11/2018 14:47 | Yes, something is moving here for sure! Could be the expected Gib news! | pieball
07/11/2018 14:34 | looking better | dave4545
05/11/2018 12:40 | My personal opinion is that MWG will pay a special dividend of about £10m out of the £22m they will receive so about the current mc or 9p a share, obviously this will be in 2020 and I would no like to onsecond giess where the share price will already be by then. China , India and Africa will most certainly sign a number of deals in 2019 so looking forward I have a target price of 34-54p from now up to the opening ceremony of the Gibraltar plant ... giving them a market cap of £35-40m roughly with £22m in the bank. Wow. I’m staying put and will look to add this week. Dare I say if they get another major contract worth millions then I can very easily see northof £1 by 2020. | munchbox54
