This is John Cortes specific comments:Sewage treatmentI am extremely pleased that work has now begun in earnest on bringing about the new sewage treatment plant and we expect the project to be completed in 2020. An advanced works contract was signed in January and includes the design and survey work required for final planning, environmental assessment and preliminary site works. It is being carefully designed to fit into the stunning landscape of Europa Point. This development is a huge achievement. There were so many obstacles and setbacks, but it was not something that we could leave undone like others have before.

Gibraltar update - 2nd July 2018 54. Plans are also moving apace on the new Waste Water Treatment Plant, another much needed project we have been pursuing since we were elected. Mr Speaker, I am very pleased that the work on this is now sufficiently advanced that we can expect to see ground broken during the course of this calendar year. Progress indeed, at last, Mr Speaker, on a project which I know all Members on this side of the House are very keen to see completed. The Honourable Member for the Utilities and the Environment, Mr Cortes, will say more in respect of the new power station and the Waste Water Treatment plant. hxxp://chronicle.gi/2018/07/chief-minister-budget-speech/

Buffet says if you can get in out at 10% from the bottom / top you've done very well. You can double that for penny stocks imo and I think I just about managed it with recent lows. Here's to a turnaround and clean water for all! Mmmm brine!

The management seem to be getting better at lining up their ducks these days, I wouldn't be surprised to see a trading statement for H1 issued soon instead of having to wait until September as before? Crunching the numbers before this RNS clearly shows that Monitoring has broken into profit of approx £200,000 by their AGM statement. They had approx £200,000 R&D credits that were being reclaimed and money is starting to cover operating costs from the preliminary Gibraltar contract. It was going to be a tight call regarding ongoing funding but with that now secured from Hangzou and the 1/10 offering @ 11p they will have enough to see them through. With a company like Hangzou selling your product for you and a lead in time of a few months, not years, for the AMBC plants, the way ahead is now open. There's been a lot of pump and dump rubbish spouted about this share in the not so distant past, but after over 10 years of watching it, coming in and out, this genuinely looks transformational.

It's certainly turned the corner and these 2 deals cement that. So the 90% herd and come and gone. Cannot see much downside when those 2 deals have added from the low £6 mil to their valuation or £7 mil to around £13mil Of course Aim is all momentum now, fundamentals mean little but it's got momentum and if the price starts to edge up again towards the highs of the day the herd will rush to buy back higher. Welcome to penny shares atm

Ken - one wonders how many avatars you have. Given you have been a member since 2008 and have only posted 254 times yet you have been busily posting away this morning on here. I fully suspect you were ramping this to high heaven this morning under another avatar and will do again once you have gone long again. Another for the filter.

Don't know about that ken they were already on the road to recovery at the AGM. 25 April 2018 Modern Water plc ("Modern Water" or "the Company") AGM Statement At today's Annual General Meeting of Modern Water Plc, the owner of leading technologies for water and wastewater treatment and for the monitoring of water quality, Alan Wilson, Non-Executive Chairman, will make the following statement: "Modern Water has started 2018 strongly with Group revenue in the first-quarter 37% higher than in the same period last year. Both Divisions are performing well, with China the primary driver for the Monitoring Division and the Advance Works Contract for the Gibraltar waste-water treatment plant boosting the Membrane Division. Gross profit in the first quarter was 40% higher than 2017 and Group overhead was 8% lower than the same period last year. The Group's cash position as of 20thof April 2018, stood at £343,000 and the finance facility ($600,000) secured on Modern Water Inc's receivables remained un-utilised. Outlook Management is confident that the strategic decision to terminate the contract of our sole Chinese distributor and pursue a multi-channel sales approach in one of our most important markets, was correct and first-quarter financial results clearly support that. We expect further progress in the remainder of 2018 and for the Monitoring Division is expected to return to EBITDA breakeven for the year. In the Membrane Division, our principal process engineer is currently on site in India overseeing the final commissioning of our first full-scale All Membrane Brine Concentrator (AMBC). Two further paid-for trials with other industrial customers have been successful. We are also well-positioned in China and our first AMBC project is due to be commissioned shortly. With reference AMBC plants operational in both our key markets, we expect to see an acceleration of licence sales for this product during 2018. The Gibraltar Advance Works Contract is progressing well and we remain committed to helping HM Government of Gibraltar to achieve its goal of completing the Waste Water Treatment Plant in 2020."
