How long as the Board been talking to potentially “interested parties” for, must have been for years now?

Well I wish you well but I don’t see anything miraculous happening, will put them on my watch list just in case it becomes an in trade again, alway in for a fast 10-20% momentum trade.

I do like Greece, particularly Corfu, although Crete probably stays warm longer in the late summer, never been to Crete but keen to try it out for a late summer getaway.

NY Boy, lets see but numerous things have changed since the loan renewal, including the most important in the Development law allowing 99 yr leases and grants/funding via the Dev law going through this week.

It will be interesting if you will look at it with fresh eyes as things start to be delivered. I understand we should hear something further by the end of the week.

NYBoy, quite simply a sale of all or part of their assets will see significant upside from current levels. The Greek government and the new development law will ensure a decent price. Yes, they have a chequered past but this period of time represents the best chance of a deal. That’s it in a nutshell, we wait on the next update. Everything else is just noise.

Remember they had to pay a massive £150,000 fee to extend a loan until end of April, clock ticking, just under 3 months, they couldn’t even afford to pay the fee on the loan without more dilution, you guys really serious about investing in this one, or stuck in at higher levels, fantasising about a higher sp, where it was, it’s been falling for years.
Can’t see any value whatsoever, please explain where the value will come from in under 3 months?

Everytime I check in the share price is cheaper, are they still peddling a fantasyland development, if it was that sought after, they would have a queue of bidders

Plenty of clown stocks on AIM peddling dreams and happy to seduce cash off mug punters lolz

Greece Sees High Investment Interest Through Golden Visa Program

Greece’s golden visa program, which grants five-year residency rights to investors who purchase property valued at a minimum of 250,000 euros, is attracting more buyers due to political and economic instability in their countries, Greek newspaper Kathimerini reports.

Residents of Turkey, Lebanon, India, Iran and Russia are looking to buy property in Greece and benefit from access rights to the EU.

Indicatively, according to Greece’s migration and asylum ministry, a total of 576 permits were granted to Russian buyers in 2021 up by 79 percent year on year, 304 permits to Lebanese investors up by 71 percent, and 605 to buyers from Turkey, up by 15.5 percent. In 2021, Greek authorities issued 478 new permits to Chinese investors marking an 8 percent increase over 2020.

Thanks to its strategic position and proximity to the Mediterranean and Europe, Greece is winning over investors at a time when currencies in their countries are losing ground.

According to experts cited by Kathimerini, buyers from India are also looking to buy in Greece, seeking easy access to EU and Schengen countries provided by the investor visa scheme.

The new markets are expected to mitigate losses incurred by the Covid-19 pandemic which put a stop to purchases by the Chinese who were among the top property buyers in 2019 and are now unable to travel due to coronavirus restrictions.

Hopefully there will be something soon after the Development Law is passed, which I assume is sometime next week. Personally I’m not expecting anything earth-shattering, I think it’s too early, but I’m sure we all agree that the company’s shareholders deserve something concrete re progress being made. I am reassured though that it is in everyone’s interests, including CE, to sign some deals asap.

I totally agree with the posts regarding The attractiveness of Greece as a place to invest. However an update from the board of directors as opposed to this board of posters is overdue.

Until we are told what progress the board of directors have made as regards to negotiating with third parties we remain in the dark.

It’s all stacking up, the Villa plots alone are probably worth more than our MC.

Sunday Times travel section has a double page on Greece and Crete. Basically about 20% of all holiday homes are Crete. Elounda (near Sitia) "is the most expensive area, Savills has a 4 bed villa with sea views on sale at £1.2m"

Gives an idea of the current market.

I’d ignore clocktower, he’s just a bit of a malevolent keyboard warrior. Very well balanced though with a chip on both shoulders.

This is one of the most informative, honest and ramp free threads. It has been a frustrating hold, but I have a feeling long-term holders will have the last laugh.
