05/1/2023 11:23 | Agree - it's worth keeping an eye on assendent updates also - CEO was recently restating the FS will be complete on target within Q1 - With that only being 10weeks away I'm hoping we may get a resource update prior to get some numbers to crunch | givmesunshine
04/1/2023 11:54 | It's good that everything is valued at a discount but NAV will have to jump at some point. | baz9707
04/1/2023 10:04 | Nice work Baz I think the upside on the 15% gov share should be discounted but the Might be worth looking at the metrics in the PEA as it was conservative at the time and the infills look to prove up some more as well as metal prices and EUR / USD more 16% lower .. there is big scope for improvement IMO but it's good to read - Thanks | givmesunshine
04/1/2023 00:27 | Thanks Baz. All adds up to a multibag investment over time. | bargainbuyer

28/12/2022 21:21 | matt123d - 28 Nov 2022 - 19:40:22 - 358 of 402 Mineral & Financial Investments - MAFL I sold down quite a lot also in the 15-16.3p range. Rarely has there been a day two rise with a higher high but we’ll see. Will be holding the remainder and looking to buy back lower if the usual pattern happens again. So you sold at a loss, are giving me advice eh? And then agreeing with me at the end of the post? Solid work.. | davevt
28/12/2022 21:16 | matt123d - 03 May 2022 - 14:07:25 - 231 of 402 Mineral & Financial Investments - MAFL Managed to trim down my holding 16/17p area. Poor Matt, looks like he was holding his ass...🤣 | davevt
28/12/2022 20:58 | We can clearly forgive some posters inexperience especially when they've only been in this game for five years and played around with small amounts in illiquid names like this. | matt123d
28/12/2022 13:23 | someone still sounds a little upset.. | davevt
28/12/2022 12:14 | 'And you made 225k on your first ever investment' No, I made 8k on my first trade, then ploughed 40k to 50k in each time to make just over 225k in a space of 5 years. 'Let's see where this sits in 13 weeks time'...lol, 3 months away? What about in the interim? | davevt
28/12/2022 09:14 | Yeah - and you made 225k on your first ever investment !!! trading this FFS... Lets see where this sits in 13 weeks time - it wont be at a 40% discount to the 20p within the Annual report .. | givmesunshine
28/12/2022 09:08 | Thanks for agreeing speculating Nav is pointless, and it also trades heavily discounted to Nav. Also markets don't treat cash the same was as investments. Having a lump of cash sitting in the bank isn't why people buy shares, it's not like the cash is doing anything. And you can check my posting history, been here well over 5 years, mafl was the very first share I ever invested in. | davevt
28/12/2022 08:24 | 'And you look at the future of the investment' So when the Nav was 18p and it sat always at half that, what's your answer? And when it was 16p and it sat at half that constantly what is your answer? Remember, you've only been here 6 months, you know nothing about how this share operates. Well technically, you kinda do, because you must have bought in when it was half the Nav,...yet telling us how the Nav is so important. How do you reconcile that? | davevt
28/12/2022 07:32 | As I said quite clearly above, you can only go off the Nav of the current results, as mafl is an investment company...do you realise this. It's not a mining company, so it's worth completely fluctuates depending on it's investments, so sitting there trying to estimate a fantasy Nav is completely pointless ramping.. ...and again, ill just remind you that this share has spent the last year sitting in single digits while the Nav was valued at 18p fully diluted. In fact it's always done that. Get it now? If you really thought it's worth 40p, you'd sit back and not throw these tantrums. | davevt
27/12/2022 10:56 | You can't advance speculate a Nav, you can only go off last results. JV states quite clearly that the fully diluted Nav increase is based off what profit the company makes in the period. 'During the 12-month fiscal period ending 30 June 2022 your company generated net trading income of £1,297,000 which translated into a net profit of £899,000 or 2.5p per share on a Fully Diluted ("FD") basis for the period. ' Mafl has lots of investments, and while some go up some also go down. You can't just say 'oh they got 2.5 million so they have 2.5m more profit'. This is why everyone that's ever speculated Nav has got it wrong...not that Nav has any relation to share price. We all know this spends more time at a price half the Nav than close to it. ...and how you managed to get 15p increase out of 2.5million when they themselves said 900k profit is 2.5p is intriguing.. | davevt
27/12/2022 09:58 | Hi Timbo Missed that .. some interesting snippets in there .. it think at time of report Lagoa held a value of £ 1.4 million uk in total... we now have a 2.5million us to add in and revaluations of the assets with the put option - so if we assume JV sticks to form and discounts by 50% about current 35p a share .. Another thing is that Golden Sun is a 2% Net royalty agreement , waiting for news on the financial close on that for the first 35000 oz project | givmesunshine
