Posted at 03/2/2025 14:23 by gb904150 I did worry about the future of Ascendant given the ever decreasing mcap and ongoing dilution.Therefore it looks quite promising that Cerrado gold (another MAFL holding) is absorbing it: Let's hope that the new ownership, cash and the PNI status of Lagoa Salgada sees things move forward again. |

But the track record here is of steady, patient, conservative growth.Buying into compelling opportunities - Luca mining, Cerrado gold etc. The structure of the fund is excellent. Now if only Lagoa Salgada could come off too..... |

Posted at 11/10/2023 14:52 by baz9707 MAFL Mkt cap is the same as NAV in 2018 5 years of growth and the share price is at its biggest discount to NAV since JV started recording it.What does this mean there is next to zero PR, some board members have not bought any stock at the massive discount, no news for a while so doubt they are in a close period. A few simple ones like keeping the website updated, tweet what the investee companies are doing attend a few investment events, would be good. The company could buyback the placing stock at half price and have pocketed 125k with no dilution, as per the AGM resolution they can buy back 10% of stock in issue.. The share price has dropped 60% since the placing which was crazy seeing the company had just received 2.5m, to justify it saying the fees was high for a transfer did not stack up, and seemed it was the plan all along. Summary they need to start thinking what potential investors in the stock would like to see and look at ways to reward shareholders as the plan to do this with the share price rise is not working. Gold will move higher and so will the companies they are invested in. I do see the value and continue to hold but a change to the norm is needed. |

And this encouraging news about UK Export Finance ("UKEF") expression of interest for financing. Still a lot more to do, but LS has Project of National Interest status and seems to be moving forward pretty steadily. |
Posted at 04/7/2023 07:45 by givmesunshine Yes - the Luca investment looks a good move - currently 48 but on production news as forecast and looking strong, was considering getting some directly.. my mind is still focused on ASND though , the put option is a game changer for MAFL, almost all metrics on the right side of the PEA , will be interesting to see the report and always a possibility that 15% will come into play .. Posted at 03/7/2023 09:42 by givmesunshine Hi TimboNice interview, It provides a clear update and basis for the placing, although it would seem obviuos that if you issues the brokerage fees as shares then an illiqud share price will get hit Short term. Its also good to know that th draft has been reviewed and had input from JV, the comment seem to be aimed at ensuring we get the best value from the NPV, which we can only fully support.. Given this info MAFL Looks very cheap at the moment. |

I don't think we will have to wait too long for a resource update and personally think JV has been working on getting that spare 15% back from the Gov All good , but. It the most exciting watch ;0) |
