You can’t make seed investments in unlisted mining tech companies like Ideon though, which 9x’d the original stake in under two years. Nor can you partake in the upside of an early stage mining project like Lagoa Salgada. Whether or not you’ll be glad to have been involved remains to be seen but to suggest that MAFL is just a collection of things private investors could buy in the open market themselves is simply not true.

News, the CEO caught a large seabass during a fishing trip....oh, and he has invested the portofolio across a massive list of stocks going totally against what the likes of Buffett advise in terms of focuses investing. Stocks like HOC, which you can buy and don't need to invest in MAFL for. More 2 hours a day work weeks for the CEO here with zero accountabilty. Awesome job.

So he says they should be at 17p minimum for usual discount to NAV but current one is 40% discount

Sounds about right

But currency movements have increased NAV again, I have a few stocks where this has happened but no rewards via the share price, mm and punters do not care unless they are flying

Ideon looks a great investment and could have been exciting RNS was far from it.

Back to sleep until Dec for Y/E results which will give the NAV for June so any increase in value for this will be known next year.

A major reason no one wants to buy in short term.

The majority of people want to have liquid assets (MAFL is not), as a long-term holder I am OK to wait for more uplifting times.

In any other stock we would be raving on about Ideon being valued at 25% the mkt cap.

You have to be cautious pre floats.

I reckon they might end up getting £2-3 million for this if others are throwing large sums at it.

As for this market there is just no hope, somebody has actually sold 25k at 12.5p.

Guess it's a patience thing, I'll only sell at the right price and it's certainly a lot higher than the current one

Also one of the lowest paid CEOs on LSE with a 25% holding, I am very happy with the big fish in the MAFL P/F.
