Well I do Dave - 6months is no time - and those grades are fantastic - this is very derisked and way below NAV and NPV separately .. combined it's a multi bagger .. I think MAFL will have its day in2023 - a lot of hard work gone into over the years

The 25123 gave it a good shot though, managed to hold for over a hour before selling for a loss.

Things are quiet, it's good to expose the 99% of idiots now who have killed this market refusing to work together and hold stocks and make profits.

Once the $2.5 million is paid within the next 3 weeks - MAFL should be holding about £3.5 million in cash.. NAV completly forgetting the 5% Put option now sits to about 26-27p - but the put option even if you discount it by 50% brings it up to 40p

therefore at current prices its about a sound as you will find

I think those bored holders who sold because it went up will soon realise that made a big mistake.. worst case you have nearly 10p a share of cash

Please keep the analysis coming Dave, always good to keep an eye on trades on illiquid stocks. I've bought a few back, holding up a lot better than previous occasions.

Dave - whilst i dont disagree, dont you get bored saying the same thing over and over again.. watching trades all the time to see if who sold at a loss..who cares - its thier loss

There's the first one

41720 paid 17.33p and sold first thing for 14.66p obviously to go and trade something else on the move and make another loss

Timbo

I get that , but facts are facts and if they have a put option to force purchase of Mafls equity stake in the project then the only conservative nature you can use is a discounted NPV - with the 2.5 million in Dec and lowest current NPV + other assets it comes out to say roughly 50p a share minimum booked option - i think we may get a follow up RNS - or directors buying /options .. to much of a gap IMO, by the time the FS is done it will be at least a quiD IMO.

Yes, I guess they could include this option in the NAV but JV errs on the side of being conservative in valuations.

I sold down quite a lot also in the 15-16.3p range. Rarely has there been a day two rise with a higher high but we'll see. Will be holding the remainder and looking to buy back lower if the usual pattern happens again.

The stupid thing about this market is the lack of fair value for "value" stocks.

And Mafl falls right into that bracket, I have other stocks too which should be 3 times the current price but nobody cares because it's a day traders market. If somebody told a Mafl trader today it's now worth 60p a share they would still sell tomorrow for 14p if it goes quiet because none of them can stand their money short term doing nothing in a dead stock, that is the only reason I sold some to see if they do the normal thing and I can buyback 3-4p cheaper again.

I remember the last spike when they were paying 18p then selling for 11.5p within a day.

It's nuts

Also - Couldnt MAFL now include the 5% Rights into thier portfolio NAV calculations? Even on old NPV numbers the companies NAV would now be pushing past $20 million or 60p a share and that could double+ with those drill updates
Or have i got this wrong ? its been a while.

I think you may well be right - but with $2.5million coming in this month and 5% rights over an asset that is going to have an NPV subject to a significant upgrade.. which at last count was be worth $14 million net to MATL but could push anywhere from $20-$40 million + on top those drill results .. six months doesn't look to bad for a 5-10 bagger

Sold £45k worth today, entire holding out.

Long time watchers of this know it will drop into singles again, and time to play the game once more.

Well I sold half of my small holding. Not that I do not think it's too high but given the impatience levels of day traders who buy in stocks on news there is a strong chance as normal this will be fish and chip paper by Wednesday and the price will drift back because nobody buying today will be able to hold or at least 90% will sell for a loss again when it goes quiet, happens every time here

After the end of the period under review, Redcorp and Ascendant secured a mine development permit agreement from the Portuguese government. In addition, on [date[ Redcorp and Ascendant also completed a second PEA indicating that the Lagoa Salgada Project has, based on 100% ownership, a pre-tax NPV(@8%) of US$341.6M resulting in a pre-tax IRR of 68.2%, with a 1.3-year pre-tax payback based on its planned 14-year life of mine (see announcement dated November 8, 2021)

Looking back at the results Pre tax NPV of was £360 million before all the drilling that is going on .. first thoughts is that this is worth bags of current price - any thoughts
