4-6 % drop in Revenue doesn't equate to 30% plus drop in share price IMO.

Good to see they have been buying back shares at far higher prices and destroying share holder value.

Jeez.

Idiots - could have just voted a dividend ffs.

The timing of Loosemore's sale of £12m of shares a month ago at £17 was rather fortuitous. Let's see if he refrains from adding at this new level in the interests of diversification.

So they revise down 2% and are on a low P/E ratio so why the 30% drop? Punishing market ? Had them on my watch list and luckily ( for a change haven't bought in yet )

In any event, they were sold at prices rather higher than at present. I make it an average of circa £17.83 that they thought worth paying for a consideration in excess of almost £11.6M. So, I'm quite happy to buy for about £1 per share less than that ;-)

I think people sold thinking 11. million shares would be on the market for sale. In fact it was transferred to Fidelity private clients. Hopefully it should ok now.

Mixed meassage this one for me - Always worrying to see a key director selling shares. That said, I completely understand his reasons, and if believed do not reflect a deteriorationn in the company's prospect, but I suspect his sale is a big reason why the stock has fallen so far. I personally thought the results were fine, particularly the free cash flow generation which will bring the debt down quickly, and allow further dividends and special dividends. On this basis, I am a strong buyer at these levels, just as I was below £3 in 2011, and £9.50 in March last year.

Well, he is 60, so fair enough. He may want to invest in other investment styles, property abroad etc.

The shares he sold on 10 July might well have gone to FMR whose holding reached 17.3m shares on that date.

That Kevin Loosemore statement in full:

“Following the publication of our interims, I have taken the opportunity to sell some of my shares in the company.

“Until now, all of my assets have been held in Micro Focus shares. Having recently turned 60, it is time for me to diversify a little, although around half my personal wealth remains in the stock.

“As executive chairman, I remain committed to the business as we continue to execute our established business model. Micro Focus has tremendous opportunity to prosper and to increase value and I will continue to work to deliver that.”

Can very much see why the market doesn't like Kevin Loosemore's share sales

hxxps://www.investegate.co.uk/micro-focus-int-plc--mcro-/rns/notification-of-transaction-by-pdmr/201907150700064565F/

To sell with the share price at a 6 week low, and then sell twice as many again the following day when you've moved the price down by 5% says far to much about his view of the short term outlook.

Also "to diversify my personal wealth" sounds a bit feeble, didn't a 15% capital return a few weeks ago do quite a lot of that.

Holder, was considering topping up, will wait a while now I think.
