11/7/2019 16:33 | Thanks for the advice. Appreciate it.confirms my own view | shaker44
11/7/2019 15:48 | If that's the way you feel don't invest.Put your money elsewhere! | umitw
11/7/2019 15:39 | Well, maybe not tomorrow! Seriously though no one is suggesting that- except you. Just questioning whether out of all the investment choices available, this is the best game in town at this price. That's all | shaker44
11/7/2019 15:14 | All this negativity, as if the company is going to go bust tomorrow!-:) | umitw
11/7/2019 14:47 | Set for 180c divi in a couple of years | phillis
11/7/2019 11:10 | I was pointed towards the HPE issue on this board yesterday. And the way it is described sounds a nightmare and Microfocus does not seem confident they can fix it. Scared me off anyway | shaker44
11/7/2019 10:59 | Drop due to presentation rather than substance: Revenue fall was as expected, diluted EPS has increased by 8.4%. INCREASED!! Also free cash flow has doubled - giving the company exactly what it needs to continue to focus on the most profitable developments in its exceptional portfolio. | pie314159
10/7/2019 16:31 | The cheaper the better... if you're buying, obviously. Just don't get too greedy and miss the train entirely! | woodhawk
10/7/2019 15:19 | Yes I am thinking that too. Looked like support around 1800 but not any longer | shaker44
10/7/2019 14:54 | Dont catch a fallen knife £15 is the next target | deanmatlazin
10/7/2019 14:50 | Thank you, shaker. I appreciate it. There’s a lot to wade through and I was alerted to possible market reaction through reading other commentary myself. Many view points make a market and not always easy to get through the noise. Good luck. | sogoesit
10/7/2019 14:49 | Looks like a large holder is off loading MCRO shares. | umitw
10/7/2019 14:49 | And I did look at the financials but didn't wade through all the text before. My bad | shaker44
10/7/2019 14:48 | I think sogoesit was answering my question and now I understand why HPE is such a big deal. Thank you. Very messy. | shaker44
10/7/2019 14:46 | Getting a bit silly, imo. Just av. down at 1765p. | woodhawk
10/7/2019 14:46 | I don’t understand your comment on credibility, Woodhawk. My post 5219 was made prior to trading having read the results. I assume folks read company results then someone pops up not knowing about HPE. I try to help them out on the issue and that becomes a credibility issue for you? Am I naive to assume people should read the results and act on them? I suffered a 6% loss today before selling out and you assume I’m going fishing? Are you sound in your head or playing games? | sogoesit
10/7/2019 14:45 | Micro focus International Plc : Stifel raises target price to 2,326p from 2,312p | umitw
10/7/2019 14:42 | Well I really surprised about the large fall here. | umitw
10/7/2019 14:22 | You might have been more credible if you'd mentioned any of this BEFORE the 17+% fall in the sp, Sogoesit. Are you sure you're not fishing for a bargain? | woodhawk
10/7/2019 14:07 | HPE; probably worth reading the results but here is an excerpt for ya: "Integration Update The complexities of the HPE Software business integration continue to require detailed attention and substantial programme planning and execution. We are making steady progress with notable examples including: the completion of the project to build our own IT operational infrastructure and separate from the HPE operational environment, continued improvements to our core business systems and ongoing consolidation of physical locations to improve operational effectiveness and team collaboration and eliminate unnecessary costs. More broadly we continue to focus on delivering the key changes needed to reach our future goals. These include: the project to deliver a single IT platform with a simplified and integrated systems architecture, simplifying central functions, strengthening compliance and controls, and continually improving our customer and employee experience. Integration work to improve our operational effectiveness is closely linked to instilling the right corporate culture of sharper execution, simpler business operations and a dynamic, accountable team. Progress is being made against this goal but there remains more to do on this front. In summary, whilst the integration of the HPE Software business remains a complex and significant programme of work, we are confident in our ability to complete this and thereby deliver on our original thesis of making Micro Focus an efficient and optimised platform operating at scale with sector-leading margins and the opportunity to grow further through acquisition." | sogoesit
10/7/2019 13:57 | Six years in this now but I'm gone today as it is approaching my threshold compound return of 7-1/2% pa. I don't see the dividend as being safe either. It did its job in the early years (income and return of capital) but I don't see that going forward in the medium term 'til they get this HPE stuff sorted out. Good luck all. | sogoesit |
