I'm just amazed at how extra sad that Joseph seems to be with every 50p drop on SP

Thankfully, Metro Bank is amazing. And so are its savvy and obviously well educated long term investors

47 banks linked to the UK. Metro bank bottom of the pile on all credit ratings

Thats no accident

Investors usually tend to be found in things of investment grade

isn't this generally classed as 'junk' on standard investor metrics?

Arborfield, as you doubtless know, the person spamming this board with endless drivel is aiming to keep any positive discussion hidden. It might be worth collecting your material this morning/noon into one long message and just reposting it for a while so that it stays visible to people who might be interested. Your assessment on opening hours is VERY interesting and hugely relevant.

Nicely put Arborfield. Your work on opening hours is also very interesting. Potentially a 30% saving on staff and energy costs. I (and I imagine many others) agree with your assessment of the prospects for the mtro shareprice.

I think metro bank will 3-4 bag

But i also think , 30-40 range will be the high of that bagging

trading, ok. Invest in any? needs a major correction for that, plus safe passage through a likely big new default market coming, according to credit markets anyway in the sphere

The point is the valuation of JP Morgan Chase is a little over 500 BILLION $ and the valuation of MTRO 300 million. They are also backed by one of the large investment banks. From a share perspective the scope for long term gains is much higher, in my view, for MTRO over JP Morgan Chase. If you disagree that is your prerogative and you should place your investment there. They are operating different business models, and you can argue, that the on-line model is the better of the two, but that doesn't mean that either are bad. I'm looking for a return on my investments and I expect that MTRO will at least double over the next 12 months. There is no way on this planet that JP Morgan Chase will.

Not true... Chase offers more than 5,100 branches and 17000 cash points

Chase uk, with an app, got circa 2 million customers and nearly 20 billion in deposits, no branches, within 2 years

They could wipe metro bank out on any service if so wished, on high margins yet in low risk markets. This is what big banks are moving to

With how things have changed over the past 20 years, they see branches as unnecessary cost centres. As they close and metro hold or expand, they simply get less and less competitive, hence the switch to casino already to try get margins up

So you should invest in Chase if you believe it is in a better position. Chase offers more than 5,100 branches. So I am not sure what your point is
