Most important, both sides nkt trying to beat each other. But simply knock out a weighted outcome for final call in either direction

Anyway, public forums, well, entertainment right?

Have i ever got an event price wrong? Have I ever got directuon from it right?

Got to entertain yourselves boys

3rd party buying happens a lot pre buyouts

They buy low on a 10% dated premium re forward sell

Then the main party can offer whatever they like at little cost, and have a massive asset addition to the books which they use for next business etc

Pretty common

Given what I see I am fairly sure it's a fund or funds or some bacal related 3rd party buyer for him

No idea who suddenly thought this low was value, but they are there anyway

Traders? Investors? Insiders? Dunno

But then it doesn't matter anyway

Actually I did hold some for a long while. What I classed as free shares. Say 20% of every target return, left in free stock so to speak

What a fkn bad idea that was lol

My philosophy is simple

Let the funds do the research as they move markets. Join in where you think analysis says they are in, and same the exit, with a reduction plan on the up, as you obviously know they do anyway

All investing is a 'bet', but you should do research to establish whether it is a good bet or a bad bet. I have stocks I've held for 10 years plus (ICP for example) others that have gone under! Luckily I get more right than wrong!
...

Absolutely. As they say, manage the losses, the profit takes care of itself

I always start out with a trade.Onmy ones I ever held, flew through target so just locked in the trade and let her do whatever

Never held anything more than probably a year max tbf as always some price stalls out

I think the term investing, should really only apply to bonds and such where there is a return for fairly secure income and safe capital

The term trading, being more share price speculation where you don't want stability really unles heavy pointing Lloyd's or something

Some call trading and investing, betting'. To be fair its true. A bet on an unknown outcome given an analysis. Many don't seem to like that terminology though

Tbh I class 12 months as trading

Anything up to a year , day to 365

You are right. Long windows re investing windows, subjective time frame tbf, is a nut job

Bank of England can hardly get a quarter right, the IMF etc, and all the resources they have at hand too

I usually view making my investments with a 12 month view, day trading is way too hard. It's impossible to look beyond that with any certainly due to economic uncertainties. These days with the geopolitical situation even 12 months is challenging!

Even targeting 160s, I wouldn't call it an investment though. Would you?

Investment as in say, forever in an ISA with 20 yrers to retirement 😂

It's more of a trade that just may take a little while

Probably be a window in that time, that fills it within 2 weeks if comes

Bacal is covered. I'm sure assets are covering him regardless , in the deal. Pretty much risk free ownership for him I would think

See where it goes

Definitely it gets delisted via private buyout or absorbed in some way

Just have to hope they don't find a way to strip the value prior
