Mud, do you really own 2% of these? Thats 10% of the shares not owned by AR lol.

Likewise, I reckon it could easily have dropped a lot more - other shares I have been in have plummetted on less bad potential news than than that. So it bodes well for a return to the peak and then onwards and upwards towards whoever is buying's limit...

Can't decide whether to jump back in now or not. It may take a while for new investment to pan out. But then again it may not.

As i'm not sure, will wait, if I miss out so be it, but watching closely.

As there is such a small free float of shares, I can't see the point of large investor trying to build a stake on the open market, they would need to be in discussions with AR.

Fortunately Soggy, despite the small retrace this morning,I am at least back above water.
Induna123.Thats exactly my reading of the situation also.
My view is that the MTT share price will recover through the day.

Thanks Mud.

I feel for you and the angst over the past year or so...but not as much as you feel for yourself!

Here's hoping that it all works out for us all - the co. and us PIs.

I made a small bit of money trading the rise before the fall, but peanuts compated to the loss I'm sitting on (which, though significant for me is peanuts to you and others).

Someone must see a healthy profit somewhere down the line. Good.

But now I'm back to my ruminations earlier....to top up (and average down) or not to top up, that is the question...

My interpretation of the RNS is Technoplus are accusing MTT of talking to other parties and thus breaching the terms of the MoU. Sounds a bit desperate to me. They've had months to do DD and make an offer of investment. The timing of this is critical and telling imo. i.e the share price has risen from 5p to 13p over the last week and a positive outcome of the arbitration case would put MTT in a stronger position if indeed they receive damages of $7-$8m.

Soggy,
IMO MTT is not the subject of a P and D operation.
The demand for shares by the market is very significant and continual.
Having quite a large holding I can check from time to time on the potential to offload.
Invariably, over recent days, the MMs ' wanted the stock and in general offered well above quoted bid.
Of course things can change;yet for me there is a serious buyer out there who is aggressively raising the ante in order to secure what few shares remain in the hands of PIs.
As there are only 7million to target, endgame should arrive sooner rather than later.
Tomorrow should be interesting!
Mud.

Eloquently put...

And we'll just have to wait and see what the market makes of it.

Is it possible that the recent terrific rise is someone building a stake?

On Oct 4th,AR put MTT "in play".
Activity on the playing field has been muted due to the terms of the MOU.
TNPV will by now have completed their DD.
TNPV extend a hand to MTT and say,"Let's do the business"".
MTT respond"Not so fast we have other interested parties".
TNPV reply,"that cannot be my son,IF you complied with the terms of the MOU".
MTT " we complied, yet could not prevent those other parties casting a covetous eye over MTT potential".
TNPV,"OK here is a letter from our lawyer regarding the MOU terms".
MTT,"Not worth the paper it is written on".
(A memorandum of understanding (MoU) is a document describing a bilateral or multilateral agreement between parties. It expresses a convergence of will between the parties, indicating an intended common line of action. It is often used in cases where parties either do not imply a legal commitment or in situations where the parties cannot create a legally enforceable agreement. It is a more formal alternative to a gentlemen's agreement.
In some cases depending on the exact wording, MoUs can have the binding power of a contract; as a matter of law, contracts do not need to be labeled as such to be legally binding. Whether or not a document constitutes a binding contract depends only on the presence or absence of well-defined legal elements in the text proper of the document (the so-called "four corners"). This can include express disclaimers of legal effect, or failure of the MoU to fulfill the elements required for a valid contract (such as lack of consideration in common law jurisdictions).)
MTT issue an RNS.
Good then that MTT have an in house lawyer.
Nothing in the above imo to prevent the shares continuing to perform strongly.

I'm still not exactly sure what this RNS is saying. It seems to say that

1. the MOU - that Technoplus would invest - AND the no shop period have expired. That's two things, the MOU & the period.

2. Thechnoplus have written accusing them of "shopping around during the 'no shop' period."

3. But the company say they will CONTINUE to talk to other investors.

4. The co. will vigorously "Defend itself against such claims"

So, if they are going to continue to talk to other investors that means they HAVE been talking to them (and presumably not in the one day since they were written to.)

And does the word "claims" mean litigation or just bad-mouthing. eg They are claiming we broke faith and we refute that, or they are making a claim for losses incurred because of bad faith on our part which we will have to resist in court.

If the latter is true, that's just what we need - another court case, just as we're getting out of the lengthy battle that's embroiled us over the past couple of years.

If the MMs read that word "claim" as meaning legal then they rightly started to drop the price. Markets do not like litigation, it's seriously bad for your share price ...

What to others make of it - am I reading it right?

Have not researched this co`, started looking last week due to the rise and connection with oxs, where I have a holding, so excuse me if my thoughts are way off mark.
Potential investor sees an oportunity, something starts to drive the share price north, potential investor thinks co` have leaked some news/info, accuses mtt of doing so. mtt puts up 2 fingers saying confidentiality period over. investor pulls out and now has to prove allegations (difficult). So is there a reason for the strengh? or just AIM madness?
Will be watching closely though have an exposure to a potential uzbek settlement thru oxs.

Very hard to prove either way. Sounded like they were still interested till they realised it was about to cost more.

I wonder if the company are confident of the arbitration result, and think they can get by without the investor?

With the added uncertainty, the mm's and recent speculators exiting will probably see some sort of retrace first thing. Question is, what then?

Such is the demand for MTT shares that I cannot see any significant fall in prospect.
Well done to 7bore by the way on his OXS recommendations;even if imo he exited his MTT position a little prematurely.

Yes no doubt the path is now clear for another suitor to come in. It could be in part or a full takeover either way they will pay a lot more than 12p imv.

The allegation appears to indicate that MTT have had discussions with another party relating to issuance of shares or options - I'd be very surprised if it was a placing (not Aik's style, check company history), which only leaves the possibility IMO that another company is sniffing around. MTT is dirt cheap if you want a profitable Tungsten operation, or simply your own supply of Tungsten.

So, is the recent rise because there is a third party involved (either with or without the company's knowledge) and now the way is clear for them to do whatever they want to do (like, take us over???). Or is the rise tied up with the MOU coming towards its end an speculators reckoning that we had a good deal lined up?

Or something completely different?

A bit of a tick down at the close, presumably those who managed to hear this was coming got a chance to sell out.

Suggests to me that others will be doing likewise and it's back down, at least in the short term.

Just as well I didn't top up this afternoon when I mulled over the possibility!

EDIT: Just looked at the trades, nobody has been bailing out, the drop in quoted price is just the MMs dropping on the news - before anyone has had a chance to react.
