07/3/2012 08:57 | The original amount written off by MTT for Uzbekistan was $7m... I've always had this down as the figure they were trying to recover. Not sure whether Aik explicitly confirmed this at an AGM or not, I don't see it in my notes. | luckyjonah
06/3/2012 19:40 | Unspecified as far as I am aware,Induna123. "Metal-Tech's counsel in this arbitration, O. Thomas Johnson, Jr. of Covington & Burling LLP,stated: "The Israel-Uzbekistan Bilateral Investment Treaty protects Israeli investors in Uzbekistan from actions such as those taken against Metal-Tech. Under that treaty, Metal-Tech has the right to seek redress from Uzbekistan through binding arbitration. Metal-Tech is doing nothing more than exercising that right." Hopefully any figure specified will be substantial;which it almost certainly will be in relation to MTT's current Market Cap of just £2million.imo. | mudbath
06/3/2012 15:03 | Do we know what damages they're seeking in the arbitration? | induna123
05/3/2012 20:33 | If Ms Shrem is to be a TNPV nomination to the Board of MTT,then perhaps we have hopes for their US$5million investment;although I cannot identify currently any connection which she might have with TNPV.. ==================== Notice of Extraordinary General Meeting Metal-Tech, the producer and recycler of speciality metals such as Tungsten and Molybdenum, hereby gives notice that an Extraordinary General Meeting ("EGM") of Shareholders of the Company will be held at 10.00am on Monday, 16 April 2012 at Adelaide House, London Bridge, London EC4R 9HA, England. The business to be conducted at the EGM will be to consider and, if thought fit, pass resolutions: -- to elect Ms Einat Henzel Mor as a statutory external director of the Company; -- to elect Ms Mazal Shrem as a statutory external director of the Company; -- to approve the draft letter of appointment of Ms Henzel Mor with the Company and her remuneration; -- to approve the draft letter of appointment of Ms Shrem with the Company and her remuneration; -- to appoint Mr Oren Kind, an Executive Manager of the Company, who has been appointed by the board as a director of the Company as of 11 January 2012 in accordance with Article 49 of the Company's Articles of Association, as a director of the Company; -- to approve the draft letter of appointment of Mr Kind as a director of the Company and the terms governing such appointment; and -- to approve the draft indemnification agreements between the Company and each of Ms Henzel Mor, Ms Shrem, and Mr Kind. A circular to shareholders, which includes notice of the EGM has been posted to Shareholders and holders of Depository Interests today. Copies of the Circular to Shareholders and to holders of Depository Interests will shortly be available on Metal-Tech's website at: ==================== Nothing regarding the circular posted currently. No doubt certificated holders will update the thread on its content once received. Cheers,Mud. | mudbath
