Aye, it is a pretty poor fundamental error, it was hardly a complex RNS!!!! almost seems that they can be bovered, note the spelling.....

Hard to believe anyone needs to proof read such a basic statement.Hardly rocket science.

From now on they should send all RNS's to wbj for proof reading prior to issue.....

I'm still not sure what the moans and groans are about either.

"Worst Case" was that the RNS was right which would have added up to the equivalent of a rights issue of 7m shares @ c. 125p. I am not sure that would have been a bad thing, as debt would be cleared and funds for acquisitions provided. You could argue that the share price possibly should have gone UP!

Anyway glad it will be imminently resolved.

i fail to understand why some people are so annoyed with the timing of this particular RNS. if one check back, one would find that MPH had issued RNS of the same nature at worse times in the day. the acts didn't stir a ripple then, did they? some edgy 'investors' here.

DCD,no longer hold MPH and no immediate plans to buy back.Good luck to you not buying the "false" RNS.The "true" one out tomorrow we're told and may also get details of forward orders ?

So nothing to do with an aquisition then, simply a total *uck-up... as is usual with MPH - and they haven't even got the excuse of being an AIM company, they're supposed to be a 'proper' one, lol!

As a long term holder you have been mugged by the false RNS, like many others you must be fuming, I know I would be, but the big boys have not been and money talks. Those that held firm will reap the results imho.......good luck......wbj
How many times have I said "Is the company performing well" ignore the market, all the selling and buying keeps them in cigars.

I'm no techie, just a crusty cynic, but the RNS didn't make sense to me.The fact that the price was only nominally marked down at the outset (and that could have been due to general market conditions) made me think that nobody knew what was going on, so I held and still do so.

Its the much forecasted demise of the dollar which will do for this company, but also every other one too.Seems to me that oil is key to the dollar, and therefore to the UK as we are one of their unofficial states. Some say a high oil price is good for the dollar as it creates demand (for dollars) Many others say its bad for the economy, inflation etc, so as usual no one has a clue. It'll take something from left field that only the favoured few are aware of, to create the mayhem which could be a long time coming. IMO.

I'll stop the waffle now.

I agree with you in part, an RNS outlining an additional 7Million shares is a very long way from an RNS stating 1.4Million shares I mean we are talking around £6.5Million and thats a lot of money in anyones book. Accurate reporting and is of utmost importance.

Not so sure that this will be enough to out the institutions though

Corrientes, just cant resist a parry of your last comment ....... reading between the lines I think you have just breathed a huge sigh of relief in the hope that there is a mistake in the report, I do hope so for your sake and mine since I only sold 50% of my stake today and the reason I did that is because of what Marchpole told me and the share price move that occured as a result. So a question for you .......... what the hell am I supposed to do, believe and act upon the reports or just wait until all my money has dwindled away.

Having made a fool of yourself on this thread once today don't do it again. I am long here and have posted such for many many months now. It doesn't take a genius to work out that this company struggles to get the investment from the city that it deserves. That is, in my opinion, because there are too many unexpected things that happen (largely because of MM).
When a fund is looking where to invest it's money, MPH is still seen as risky, thought it should be much less so now. And it's publishing RNSs like this that will put off new instis. Why would they bother with a company that can't get a simple thing like this right?

Oh, these shorters don't give up.I've seen many RNS errors corrected within a day or two with no efect on share price. If it wasn't MPH it would just be an aberration, but here a good excuse for inciting a mini tank. The results are suddenly meaningless. LOL.

As I said earlier, watch the instis head for the exits when a company can't even get this right. Is it really worth the risk.

Human error, but it has cost alot of holders money, very annoyed to say the least. I would have thought at the RNS level things would have been checked for accuracy and when in error, corrected immediately, such is life.............bwj
sorry wbj......................lol

Pingi, it is a cash purchase (see original RNS). Existing resources obviously includes loan facilities, which probably by March 2006 included the dollar loan (or else please explain its purpose / appearance).

Marchpole seem to specialise in what is omitted rather than what is in included. Personally as a holder I am glad nobody has asked where the forward order figures we normally get at interims have gone to... (oops!).
