Suspect buyers appear in numbers push this higher.Not much stock about.Mickeymakers tight control every trade.Nice steady as she goes with strong support @ 100p.

Maximum size can buy on line quoted as 3,750. To sell 104.2p and To buy 106.98p.

DCD - This really looks undervalued to me - I think a short term bounce to £1.20 is on the cards - anymore will need some more positive news.

I did get the emails,
I certainly am still in here looking to buy a lot more when finances sorted out,
I am in a bid situation on another share so looking good for MPH investment.

I'll email later in week as the cafe is closing for lunch. The French do like the easy life.

Well I totally agree that the share price should be closer to 137p and in fact think it should be higher like about 140p .................for now! ;>)

Hardman have released a 12 research note on MPH dated 5 Oct. Not a lot of new info (I don't think).
A couple of quotes of interest:
"We believe that investors are heavily discounting Marchpole for a number of reasons, but that the discount being applied is higher than is perhaps warranted, and would suggest that a share price of closer to 137p per share would be more appropriate."

Also:
"Earnings in the 2008 financial year will undoubtedly be lower than those in the 2007 financial year due to the loss of the YSL licence, a situation further
compounded by aggressive forward buying of YSL product. Marchpole's management will need to manage the market's expectations accordingly to avoid any unwarranted earnings disappointment arising from this one off anomaly."

I wonder whether the non exec share purchase (£100k) could be due to Moda being more profitable than the market thinks but also re the royalties from 2008 on JCC perfume. In 2003 it did 30 million eros turnover (only launched in 2001). Mens fragrance was about to be launched. What if total sales per annum were 60 million euros by 2008 ? This would give MPH 2.3m euros royalties. Say £1.1m after tax. Brands are supposed to be highly valued. Even putting that income on a P/E of 13 it would amount to about half the current value of the business.

Retained income from 2003 to Mar 2006 7.1 million pounds or 5.3p per share.
Market value 20p per share now, therefore for every 1p retained profit, 2.26 pence was created in market value, looks very good to me folks, waiting market's further recognition and move north...................have a good weekend wbj

Its been a very trying time for all holders including me and close colleagues who questioned the wisdom of holding on after the last 24 months, but you have to look at the company not the stock market and there the performance has been very good and looks to be getting alot better. Next week hopefully will bring some sunshine, so hang in there and don'tget despondent, the trading figures will be out very soon and I believe we will all be pleasantly surprised....................wbj
