Man increased stake and the price drifts post consolidation on little volumn. No logic to the market movements of late, holding firm and awaiting trading news, who said trading shares was easy?....................................Off for meal with Mrs wbj, keep smiling all.......................wbj

That 220,000 could actually be the selling that has moved the price down!

In the past notification that MAN group had picked up 2 million shares moved up the share price!
Must be worth me going in for 5,000.

Edit 5,000 at £1.092 purchased.

am I right in thinking todays fall represents nearly 1p old money on the back of nothing happening - I thought consolidation was meant to strenghten not weaken the price.

I assume you are joking Andy, but for those who may be confused as a result.

On 15th May MAN had 6.36% - they now have 7.47%.

DAZW,

As previously posted go into transactions and sell on fridays date your whole holding, and then buy the whole lot back on monday (new amount of shares held).

That way you wont have a graph that looks like you have won the lottery.

PS dont actually sell your shares!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thought I better warn just in case!!

tuftymatt - no I meant the falsely calculated extra from MPH was adding about 25% to my total.

I agree with gb2005 - the chart had a nice underpinned look about it (not that I am a chartist), and now in the absence of news there is a danger that it will drift.

Anyone have any views on what will be the next bit of news? Hopefully not the interim results (16/11), as was the case last year.

Hi Llados,

No divi in my account yet, next week will do me fine though, thanks for the info.

Small volume for the drop here today. IMO must be short term, especially after FD purchase.

Well Mr Morris now has the mandate to support the price/value of his shares at any point he sees fit.

I say 'his' shares as any drop will clearly hurt him more than anyone else, plus he's the one effectively holding the purse strings.
