The number of shares in issue were 136,031,233 yesterday.

The number of shares in issue today are 27,206,246.

So no shares were written off, so why should part holdings be rounded down. What happens to all the rounded down part holdings? I've watched Superman, all those cents add up you know!

Your post was doubly misleading/confusing:

1. You can't hold 10000.6 shares in the first place,
2. If you're talking about MPH, you divide by 5 not 10.

Clearly from gb2005's remark, that poster was confused/temporarily alarmed by your post.

Share consolidation on the terms of 1 for every 5 shares hold

10,000 old shares now 2,000 new shares
5,000 old shares now 1,000 new shares
etc

Price 22.75 / 23.75p Friday close = MIDLE PRICE 23.125p price

23.125p X 5 = 115.625p, price last Friday close

113p today -2.625p on the day

agm = The proposed share consolidation is on the following basis: every five existing ordinary shares of 1p each to be consolidated and redesignated as one new ordinary share of 5p each.

Nothing misleading at all depends on your level of knowledge I took it the poster would divide by 5 first!!!!!!

Of course lets work it out

you hold 10,403 on friday at an average of 23p, you now hold 2080.6 but you dont hold the .6 you hold 2080!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That post is plain wrong. It's so badly expressed I can't even tell what you mean't!

This isn't THUS and it's not a 1 for 10, it's a 1 for 5 share split, so very misleading.

e.g 1006 shares becomes 201 shares (divide by 5 and drop the fraction of a share).

Another query, (ribton)I also have a Selftrade account, but no figures for MPH, I 'phoned and was told should be available by the end of the week as their corporate people weren't in yet! What if I wanted to sell.. they will 'phone me back. When was your account updated.
