Hi WBJ,

Yes Lex did just what I was saying last night on both this and the CCT thread.

As I worked last night I was in bed this morning till 11 ish so was not around during the bad moments so trousers stayed un soiled......lol

Tomorrow is another day and maybe with the yanks showing a small recovery we may do the same. If so would expect a few to buy MPH and a bit of blue on the cards.

Still not happy with the world and like many so called experts I have heard on the news etc I do feel this may be the start of a few long rocky weeks.

Good luck to all.

WBJ,

Pop up Tesco's and grap yourself a new one for a tenner.

If things are that bad tell them to bill me. Seeing as I paid for your Christmas turkeys in 2005 thats the least I can do.......LOL

Yes in the long term that will go down as a positive bit of news.

I bet today though they wished they had waited a touch longer but thats the markets for you. I am just back from the school run and see the DOW is up around 90 points but we have gone back a another 20 or so!!

Funny old game this share business.

Tufty, you make valid points that no stock is immune from global, market or other events and only right to air those thoughts.A certain inevetability of experiencing Big corrections. All normal rules, fundementals and valuations are throw out the window.Volatility thinest of volumes up or down on any old excuse pushing greed and fear buttons.A good dose of realism doesn't do any of us any harm.

Are you guys aware of MAN Financials position regarding their Spread Bet deposit requirements being changed and how that affects MPH – been in from 8p and enjoying the ride at last ;-)

Hi everyone,

It was fairly obvious the market place would do what it has done today and like many MPH is down. My holding in CCT is down so on paper I am worse off than this time yesterday but do see buyers returning.

MPH will bounce too at some stage and may even be as quick as an hour or so if the DOW starts off ok ish.

Its wrong to feel safe with a company just because they are in a strong position when the general market takes a turn for the worse. I feel that point has been proven time and again in recent years and again these last few days both here and on other good shares of late.

WBJ,no not dipping my toe into DTK but might have done but for sticking with planned 2007 investment strategy.Someone mentioned stock on thread and looked to be good buying op @ 150p.Been tipped by techinvest @ 150p and more recently @ 169.5p.Interested in you more experienced number crunching eye compare own instincts and profit potential 2007/2008.Results out similar to MPHs date for EGM.The other o/t which compare MPH, progress trading 82.5p compared MPH 142p. Believe EGM unlocks key to MPH progress 150p-185p based ifo public domain. Will see whether right or wrong.

o/t ~Lex DTK may have a nav of over £1 per share but have you seen the eps, from what I can see looking quickly its around 10 cents , that 5p sterling against a market price of over £1.50. P/E of around 30 times earnings, to rich me thinks....................wbj

Man have held a very long time, clearly finally offloading. Given their original holding (1,916,000 per 14 Feb) and the drop of 634,000 to 1,281,146 the price has done extremely well to rise so much with the overhang.

Lex - you figures above are incorrect.
