Back on windows internet explorer hit monitor and it says i need Java plugin, altough it is in tools advanced as you say. I have loaded it around 10 times but no good.

Larmertree yes java sun is there and ticked and streaming works through bt yahoo browser, but on certain web pages the screen freezer, I contacted BT broadband and they said certain web pages did not respond to the BT browser and suggested I use Internet explorer. It is when I use internet explorer that I can not get streaming. Strange as I get it fine with the bt browser set up by bt broadbband. Thanks for all your help and sorry to be a pain...........wbj

Did you download Sun Java from www.java.com ?

You can easily tell if you have the Sun Java console by clicking on tools one of the options will be Sun Java Console.

To enable Sun Java go Tools/internet options .....advanced tab, then scroll down and make sure Java (Sun) is ticked (also ensure that under Microsoft VM java console and java logging are not ticked)

I would put a sreenshot up here to show you but I dont know how.

If you dont normally use IE you could easily overlook the request to download activeX components, look out for a kind of fawn coloured bar that appears at the top of the browser window, it appears when it blocks popups or requires a component.

Heres another one I just remembered if your still having trouble . go Tools/internet options and under the security tab i expect you will find it set to "High" security ........ I had to set mine down to Medium-High

Yep it just means that if you change this option you need to restart the computer to complete the change

Oh yea another thing

Under Tools/internet options under the advanced tab, scroll through the settings and find Microsoft VM .......... mine has Java Console and Java logging disabled and instead (just above Microsoft VM) I have Java(Sun) enabled.

I got the Sun Java from the main Sun website www.java.com

Try this before the other stuff I suggested in my previous post.

Make sure you have the latest Internet Explorer, this is most important.

Then go to Tools/internet options then under the general tab use the option to delete your browsing history (what we are really trying to achieve is the deletion of all your temporary files in particular the cookies)

If that does not help then click on Tools/internet options click on the advanced tab and try the reset option.

If you still have probs after that try switching off the Phishing filter.

After all this you will find that your saved passwords and banking id's will be lost so make sure you know all your secure id's and passwords.

Help Please, I am tring to obtain streaming but not working . It was ok on bt yahoo browser, but I had to change to internet explorer and cant get it to work. I have downloaded the Java and it says tested ok but every time i click on monitor it says you need to download java, worn out, can anyone detail the procedure for streaming..............thanks wbj
