'Losing money' is selling at a lower price than that paid. Minerve isn't losing money on Kier if he still holds the shares.

BATS are up 25% in the last 3 months, although lower than 5 years ago. We don't know when he bought.

Getting, this last post is typical of your complete lack of detail, leading to false conclusions. I don't know where you work but you must be a bloody nightmare to employ.

Looks like you've got too emotionally attached and become a Kier 'fanboy'! Remember you've told us all on here that your number one aim is 'to not lose money'. Yet that's precisely where you're at with Kier. And BATS is lower now than 5 years ago! Maybe you should stick to swimming!

I had at the time finished, but now, guess what? I've done about two weeks more worth of research and have sold out a large holding in BATS for a nice healthy profit which some is now being reinvested in Kier. I have £130K at my disposal for additional Kier if required.

Nothing is static, everything is fluid.

He has a lot to learn.

I have to say, he must have known his capability when he called himself 'gettingrichslow'. It will be bloody slow! LOL

The professional investor has timed it all wrong again. Remember he declared he'd finished 'building his position' when the shares had risen above £5.00, yet now is claiming to be adding again to 'average down'. Basically he has stuffed up big time and is at least £30k down.

I didn't start my companies yesterday. It was BEFORE and during the .com boom. Almost 20 years' ago. I've been running my own portfolio, and have been a business angel on and off since. I never suggested I was an entrepreneurial wizard - that is in your mind. But I do have first-hand experience in all these matters. Your ego needs to handle the concept that some of us are professionals irrespective of how we behave here.

No get back in bed, the nurse is getting worried. ;)

There are many such people on this site who assume others are made and act in the same, simple-minded ways as themselves.
