We can all quote rhymes, steeplejack. Here's another one.

If you go down in the woods today, you're sure of a big surprise,
If you go down in the woods today, you'd better go in disguise!
For every bear that ever there was, will gather there for certain because
Today's the day the Teddy Bears have their picnic.

This is a bulletin board (free for most)with anonymous posters. It simply isn’t worth taking things seriously.Common courtesies are suspended here. They shouldn’t be and I always try to be civil because I think to be rude behind a cloak of anonymity is a sort of act of cowardice.

My quote is from Alice in Wonderland.

“...Speak roughly to your little boy,
And beat him when he sneezes,
He only does it to annoy
Because he knows it teases”

This is a fantasy world. As if our comments here make a jot of difference. Its cathartic, that’;s all.

Market is up because chances of a general election are down and the consensus of parliament not wanting a No-Deal is now visible. The No Deal consensus is actually much larger IMO and it wasn't reflected yesterday BECAUSE MPs want to give Brussels the idea that we are prepared to walk away - which we aren't. So it is a bit stupid; the sort of deal making that saw Alan Sugar quickly run out of friends in the electronics industry. But I guess it makes good viewing - and for the ignorants who have never done any real negotiating before - it looks good. In reality, negotiating is about getting a fair deal and that is done by NOT forcing the counterparty to sign under duress. This is because you want to walk away and sleep at night knowing the counterparty is fully committed to what is agreed and their 'loyalty' and your integrity remain intact. StillBirthPlus has no idea about negotiation. Too much watching pathetic programs like Dragon's Den.

Piwood, not sure but doubt it - whole market up despite the impending economic 'catastrophe'.

Steeplejack, yes that's right just a bit of 'teasing' isn't it, the kind of thing that happens on the This Morning sofa between the two presenters, or when Gary Lineker asks Alan Shearer how many FA Cup Winners medals he's got. Jeeeeeeezzz... And you portray yourself as an educated, intelligent sort of chap!

Steeplejack advises us :-

"PS....don’t worry about Minerve,he only does it to annoy, because he knows it teases."

Ah, teasing, that's what he's been doing then, such as happens in a kindergarten
or at a Church Council meeting. Thanks, I'll recognise it from now on.

When are you lot going to discuss Melrose in any depth?

Waiting to see some decent intellectual conversation about your investment. That doesn't include cut&paste of news stories I'm afraid StillBirthPlus.

It's OK, I will not hold my breath. LOL

"We just can't see the fantastic pleasures that uncontrolled immigration and a wonderful multicultural society have given us, such enormous social cohesion and happiness!!

He says as he goes for a Chinese meal in Soho or has a delivery from Amazon at unbelievably low prices.

What part of capitalism don't you understand?

It needs immigration. Immigration will happen regardless of whether we are in the EU or not. I guess warm and comfy smoke and mirrors is what the fools need to feel happy.

Look at the problems in the US now. Spot the similarities? Thought not! LOL

Interesting choice of MPs you have chosen to define normalcy.Kate Hoey's a funny old cove (x Northern Ireland high jump champion by the by).As for Davis and Raab, not impressed,E for Effort I suppose.Anyway, there's nothing wrong with Boris and Egg Nog playing the old noblesse oblige (excuse the French!)and playing the old squire. In medieval times, the lord of the manor would paternalistically care for the peasants on his estate.Things haven't changed that much.Kate,Davis and Dominic might be regarded as good yeoman stock assisting Egg Nog and Beefy Boris in this regard.(Actually,Brexit has been cast as a peasants revolt of sorts).PS....don't worry about Minerve,he only does it to annoy, because he knows it teases.

Liverpool fans thank Rafael Benitez for Man City's defeat

Thanks Rafa. We will always love you our Spanish friend.

I see Manure were not up to much last night! 0:2 down at one point to Burnley. Only managed a draw.

This is great!

YNWA!

Yes, Minerve, I read it rather than sucked on it.

An excellent statement, supporting Mrs May's efforts to conclude the current deal.

Steeplejohn says :-
"This small, extreme, pompous little coterie of socially elite public school boys".

Do David Davis, Kate Hoey, Dominic Raab etc. fit this category? No, of course not.
Some of the extreme brexiteers he refers to could indeed be called 'socially elite public school boys' but then Parliament is full of these types so it's no surprise some are extreme brexiteers.

I see Minerve has turned on me now, predicting my downfall although not yet wishing me dead.

MEANWHILE

Words mean nothing. Your ignorant, selfish actions will cause more damage to other people than my words on this thread. But seeing as you are so ignorant and stupid to think Farage an icon decent words here are wasted on you. ;)

You need to stop reading The Express and start listening to your farmers' union.

Or are you just a wannabe farmer with a couple of chickens?
