The left wing don’t really care too much about the overall health and prosperity of U.K. business because the main thrust of their policies is to redistribute wealth. One thing we have in common here,is that we have a few shillings saved and a standard of living that facilitates investment. Its the likes of US,whether Brexit or remainer, that the left wing are keen to fleece to service the needs of the poor people. The fact that Brexit could make the needier more needy, the wealthy less wealthy and that they’ll be less to go round generally to fund socialist plans,is neither here nor there to the left wing.Ahhh ..the 1970s .....the good old days. One of the reasons that Corbyn is anti EU is that he doesn’t want the EU interfering in a socialist agenda that will involve propping up ailing U.K. businesses with public money.

Aren't you the one buying shares in UK-focussed businesses, Minny?! You've got a very confused strategy haven't you!

Most businesses have already up-sticks, left, not invested, been bought buy foreign companies - because of your brainless vote Brexit.

Any government will have nothing left to govern so I wouldn't worry too much about left-wing.

Honestly, you couldn't be more ignorant and stupid if you tried.

If the worst happens and we get a left wing govt loads of businesses and jobs will up sticks and depart. And who could blame them.

PS.....The Daily Telegraph is a most hopelessly biased Brexit rag.I dropped my subscription sometime back. It's no longer objective,it's Brexit spin distorts everything.

"But the big decisions will now be made from Singapore, where the vacuum merchant already employs 1100 and plans to build his new electric car.Won't Sir James want to take advantage of the nations low tax rates."Times commentSo predictable .Luckily, big business like Dyson have the option to up sticks and seek out a more profitable base in Singapore.Small businesses, highly dependent on the EU ,will just have to grin and bear a less favourable set of circumstances.

Dyson - DT

“While headline grabbing, from a business point of view Dyson’s decision to relocate its corporate base from the UK to Singapore isn’t a shock.

The thousands of engineers and designers the company has at its whizzy Wiltshire base won’t have to adjust to South East Asia’s climate - even if they wanted to - they aren’t suddenly upping sticks.

Right now it’s just two top executives who will be based in the city-state as the company changes its registered base from the UK - effectively a “brass plate” administrative move.

Having the corporate base in Singapore means executives will be able to keep a closer eye on the finely tuned business whose manufacturing is focused in the region.

On its own it doesn't indicate you are the same person. But have a look at the last few posts from Ryelodge. 1) Only posts just after your posts. 2) Comments on precisely the same issues as you eg too much cricket and rugby talk, roast beef etc etc
You'd be better off doing 'hvs' posts which are genuinely funny!

Since the Melrose director bonuses were grossly excessive, it is no surprise to see 2 different posters using this description.
It does not indicate that they are the same person.
For example I don’t believe that Jacob Rees Mogg and Esther Mcvey are the same human entity despite speaking in a similar way.

So Ryelodge uses the expression "grossly excessive" - now who else have we heard use that expression on this board many times...hmmmmm...let me think...oh yes, it was Meanwhile!

If you've worked in the City then you'll have heard lawyers being called 'the poor men of the City' by the bankers... obviously not!

Steeplejack, I agree, but would make the point that your description is that of Zimmer, where only wealth matters and the finer things in life like holidays, food and drink are unimportant.

It’s sad when all you have in life is a pile of annual reports to rest your booze on.

I've dealt with The City enough. During the listing of my company and subsequent selling of shares through brokers. Steeplejack is right. Nothing to be proud of is our City, especially hedge-funds and especially when they interfere in politics.
