beggar, but if they'd let Matra plc go bust, they would have suffered significant reputational damage and any subsequent potential investor or partner would then have become very wary about getting involved. I never thought they'd let it go bust.

budget - The main concern has been that Winpro has recovered their investment in Matra plc, therefore there has not been an incentive for the management to go to the market to realise their and our investments. They could have even let Matra plc go bust with no harm to themselves.

If they bring Matra to the market and make an acquisition, Winpro may just sell their holding to an interested party, rather than dump the stock in open market operations.

Dear oh dear super

I'm looking forward to the day in January when this relists and you make a return on your original investment to see what you say then because there will come a day when you stop spouting all of this nonsense.

Maxim is a big time player. We're not talking about someone who's giving this a go for the first time, we're talking about a guy who has a proven track record of having done this before, building a company with reserves of 450 million barrels employing 1300 people. That gives me a lot of confidence.

Our risk was that Matra would not relist and we all knew that. There were a few of us who always said that it would relist because that was how Maxim & his major investors would get a return on their money.

And now it is going to relist, all we're waiting to find out is what it will be worth. So sit back, relax and enjoy Xmas knowing that we have this to look forward to in the New Year. Ker-ching! Let's have a drink to that.

More to this in sense of how much the non CROOKS running the company benefit from it

super, yes I do - the value of the new Group will not be solely based on the value of Matra US and plc. There will be more to this deal.

As much as we will enjoy speculating in the meantime, we will never second guess what the deal might be and if they're negotiating a merger or acquisition, everyone will be on NDAs and nothing will leak. It's probably already been done and they're finalising the documentation.

We'll find out in due course and I for one remain very bullish - but that will be no surprise to you

The reported discovery is about 200 miles south-west of where Matra is drilling.

Does that potentially affect Mates?

budget - They will not relist just for the sake of it because they will have to be more transparent about their activities and there is more regulation to comply with. They are either going to raise more capital via a placing or make an acquisition/merger or both.

matra, harry - great posts

super, my take on their reasons for delisting was that MB didn't want to lose control of the structure of the company ownership (i.e. he didn't want someone else coming in and taking a big stake in the company that he didn't want involved. Perfectly possible while the share price was at 0.35p when delisted) IMHO. Of course, we'll never know but it doesn't matter now

I'm absolutely convinced there will be more to this than just a straight forward listing. I dont believe that they will have worked for three years whilst delisted to increase the share price from 0.8p (which MB bought in at) to 1p (likely share price if listing with a £80m market cap). I just dont see it.

Why did they delist in first place if are relisting without any change in ownership structure . No need to have delisted Tricon excuse clearly not credible .Obviously delisted to move assets and funds round

matra - They said they were looking to merge with a listed company that is currently producing 1250boepd, Dome meets that criterion.

Dome energy were actively seeking a merger back in Febuary 2015 with Pedevco. The deal was agreed but fell through in December 2015. The share price has been in free fall since. They were still seeking a merger opportunity. Is this the reason why Matra are listing In sweden.

Budget..not sure it makes that much difference..the market cap is the market cap..if it was down to me i would have the newco issue 85m new shares @sek 9.10 so valuing the whole of Matra @ $85m...
