06/3/2020 01:09 | You mean you sold at 16 minutes past one?? | brewery boy
06/3/2020 01:06 | Why should dividend be cut now? Board are well aware of need to reduce debt, but this is nothing new and remember dividend increases as share price goes down.I am fairly confident that MARS can do well but potential investors require patience and stamina. | brewery boy
05/3/2020 23:06 | A high yield is generally seen as too good to be true... | diku
05/3/2020 22:50 | How do we know. | luderitz
05/3/2020 22:31 | Is the market expecting a divi cut...now yielding around 9%... | diku
05/3/2020 22:08 | No I haven’t. | luderitz
05/3/2020 22:04 | "the main pub goers are still men" You've clearly forgotten Marstons' "4 F's" which underpins their new-build policy. | jeffian
05/3/2020 21:32 | Let’s look at the evidence shall we, the main pub goers are still men so can’t see that changes any time soon so agree shouldn’t affect pub chains like Mars but could be proven wrong in the medium to long term IMHO. | luderitz
05/3/2020 17:53 | "the recent advice to stay away from pubs and restaurants because they will be key areas of contagion" What recent advice is that then? I've just spent a while googling all the latest updates and nowhere can I find anything telling people to "stay away from pubs and restaurants". Can you give chapter and verse for your comments? | jeffian
05/3/2020 16:37 | Really? Mine seemed OK last night. | jeffian
05/3/2020 14:43 | A massive problem here and for others in this game is the recent advice to stay away from pubs and restaurants because they will be key areas of contagion. | 123trev
03/3/2020 01:45 | I don't think Marston's have any trade in China. | brewery boy
03/3/2020 01:43 | Do you mean Diageo? They are the biggest drinks company in the world. Unless we all die from the virus, Diageo is the most defensive company you can hold. As to Marston's, they are a medium size UK Brewer with reasonable prospects and a handsome dividend. | brewery boy
03/3/2020 01:39 | How did you sell at 116 pence? Hard to believe. | brewery boy
02/3/2020 15:54 | Raise the white flag. Enough is enough. | redartbmud
02/3/2020 15:50 | Oh dear Porsche, it's enough to turn you to drink! :) | ianood
02/3/2020 14:23 | See #3374. About 1.3m | jeffian
02/3/2020 12:25 | Sold out at 1.16, not the top but had been looking for a re entry, but I now think these are finished, there is a heavy duty recession on the way and the uk already weak after three years of the brexit self harming sxxtshow, the debt is just too high, can see dividend being cut by two thirds and this down to pennies. Im not sure the ftse 350 or aim investable anymore. | porsche1945
02/3/2020 11:27 | What’s his holding just now does anyone know on here? | luderitz
02/3/2020 09:58 | Yes a cosy number till retirement...what's not to like. He's lovin it. | meijiman
29/2/2020 12:46 | Entrenched BOD, High debt, Global virus induced market panic, Happy go lucky fund managers. Missed anything ? | spacecake
27/2/2020 23:03 | I am sure that RF is happy that there is still plenty portfolio to sell off, until he retires. | dinvester
27/2/2020 16:33 | No, they don't, and largest shareholder Hargreaves Lansdown are clearly just there as Nominees for many "small guys". But the others should be encouraged to stir the pot. In another case like this, I found both M&G and Standard Life willing to engage with rational argument and M& G is a large shareholder here too. May be worth pushing them to be a bit more 'activist'. | jeffian
27/2/2020 16:09 | oops..my mind has been elsewhere so forgot. Small guys make no difference here. | meijiman |
