07/3/2006 16:48 | Thanks Greg - who did you speak to out of interest - email me if it's easier. Jockthescot75@hotmai cheers Jock | jockthescot
07/3/2006 15:35 | Phillis...can u clarify 1569. | cezary
07/3/2006 14:57 | So Phillis...what are you saying about Oxus?? | cezary
07/3/2006 14:53 | tee man - yes, EUG turned out messy so i understand your reservation. The only difference with MKD is that OXS virtually have the end-game in sight. Should be interesting to see how MKD tracks OXS. | giant steps
07/3/2006 14:41 | Been through that one with Eurogold and got burnt, GS. I doubt there are that many shareholders left in MKD there is only 19% out there and I own .25% I don't count myself as a big holder either. | tee man
07/3/2006 14:38 | ok thanks Phillis. | tee man
07/3/2006 14:37 | OXS shareholders now realise they are getting MKD back on the cheap OXS screen price bid 68p offer 69.5p (buy 3 MKD @ 21p equivalent to 1 OXS 63p, and get a 6.5p discount) | giant steps
07/3/2006 14:36 | If that is the case then OXS will need to admit another 8m or so shares to the market - expect to see another RNS if that is the case. | polaris
07/3/2006 14:34 | Institutional contact | phillis
07/3/2006 14:23 | Phillis where has this bit of info come from? "OXS bought the institutions out at a rate of 3 MKD for 1 OXS" | tee man
07/3/2006 13:15 | O/T Phillis - go and see the free float of 5% at Thistle ! | giant steps
07/3/2006 13:13 | Free float of £4m only isn't really practicable | phillis
07/3/2006 13:05 | Nothing like being locked into the OXS shareprice ! OXS bid 67p gives MKD 22p floor (as predicted by erictherock) So we want OXUS back over 90p+ | giant steps
07/3/2006 12:59 | As long as the 18.5% of MKD stays in the open market, anything can happen. For example, JV news could boost the share price proportionately much more than OXS. Nor is there anything to stop another miner from buying in a strategic interest in MKD now or, more likely, when the JV is signed and sealed. FWIW, I remain optimistic! | pecker1
07/3/2006 12:36 | I would really expect Khandiza to be worth more 'in the market' as MKD than in OXS. But given metal prices, MKD is such a huge potential i can see why they want it back ! Given Jerooy situation MKD will be spun as the on balance plus for OXS. Let's wait and see in the OXS results, due soon. | giant steps
07/3/2006 12:26 | Moving on... OXS bought the institutions out at a rate of 3 MKD for 1 OXS which probably explains why RAB sold 2m OXS yesterday because they were replacing their MKD holding with more OXS. We remaining minority will be offered terms at some time but I repeat it won't be any more generous. OXS will wait for the current news impact to die down | phillis
07/3/2006 12:25 | Should be interesting to see whether OXS moves to buy out the remaining 18.5% of the shareholders and, if so, when. On the one hand the saving of several hundred thousand a year on admin/listing costs etc. would be beneficial, but on the other hand the gearing from having a part of MKD exposed to the JV/ silver price and Turkish news could also benefit OXS. Since I added more yesterday and first thing this am, I'd prefer they leave things as they are and see how things pan out! | pecker1
07/3/2006 11:24 | Oxs has in all probabilty bought some from institutions and some on the open market. Oxus know more than us and they feel mkd is a bargain. Phillis however does not. Good luck phillis even though I suspect you are a grumpy 21 stone glaswegian with a bushy moustache. Which reminds me, Hectorp arent you meant to be out as we have not got the go ahead by the end of feb? :o) We do have a few chancers on this BB. Good luck Hector you do make me laugh. They could of also bought in germany with mm's arbitrageing so that no big buys go through on the aim. I have guessed for the last few months that there has been a big buyer and seller out there and this confirms it. What is for sure is that there are fewer shares for sale there than before. It is logical that the price must go up. I just cannot see many sellers coming out of the woods thus a rerating re Zn/Ag prices and risk assesment should occur. There are still risks but the rewards now have almost doubled. The share price has not. As for the warrants, no way! exercised at 40p!!! if my memory serves me well. good luck all | greg the grinch
07/3/2006 10:57 | eurofox - what do you think, huge squeeze on the horizon ? The key to all this will be OXUS news today / tomorrow imho. | giant steps
07/3/2006 10:48 | Yes Zaphod it could be due to the wrts being exercised. Looks crazy to pay 40p now, but I suppose if the JV is going to be formerly approved shortly, perhaps 40p isn't such a daft price. | nobull
07/3/2006 10:47 | I'm sure Phillis is right - the numbers don't stack up so the vast majority of MKD shares will have been acquired from institutional holders. | pecker1 |
