06/3/2006 16:57 | Indeed. In the meantime AIMR is doing me proud, riding the bullish Zinc wave. | drewz
06/3/2006 15:42 | Plenty of the MKD crew have a seat on the Ridge boat | giant steps
06/3/2006 15:34 | Take a look at RIDGE MINING (RDG). Merrill Lynch HAVE JUST increased their stake to 15.5%. ONLY VALUED at £29 million. Large Platinum Resource. May-be the next share to Fly. | pedro21
06/3/2006 15:19 | JV Agreement is "Agreed in principle". I think if the Uzbeks wanted to throw a spanner in the works they would have done it by now. It's not the same as Jerooy, just a matter of glacial bureaucracy. Of course my middle name is Pollyanna ... :) | mattybuoy
06/3/2006 14:48 | that rns is all old news imho. hence the market has taken little note of it. we need clarification with a final binding signature. :o) | greg the grinch
06/3/2006 14:31 | dog...I believe the licenses are in place; all we are waiting for is the jv agreement | cezary
06/3/2006 13:25 | OyoiOyoiOyoiOyoiOyoi I've got all I want of these. They've got to have a great chance. Along with RDG surely one of the best bets out there - as long as they get those licenses. The deposit is there and MKD have the expertise to mine it efficiently and profitably. | dogberry202000

06/3/2006 11:58 | Fine words: "which will improve the cashflow to Marakand", but until there is a legal entitlement to these cash flows by way of presidential/Cabinet approval of the JV, I can't see that these words are going to do anything for the share price (I am assuming financing isn't much of a problem) | nobull
06/3/2006 11:23 | Worth noting ... 15K buy online quoted 18.25p, MAX buy online 25K quoted 18.38p | giant steps
06/3/2006 11:14 | Excellent prospects beckon Extract - " Marakand has reached agreement in principle with its Uzbek partner, Goscomgeology, on the project's Joint Venture legal and financial documentation. Recent changes to the Uzbek tax code have been incorporated, which will improve the cashflow to Marakand. This has been submitted to the Government. The Khandiza Project is included in the National Investment Program for 2006, per Presidential Decree No. 251 dated 15 November 2005. Marakand continues to engage all levels of national, local and regional Government in an effort to secure the Khandiza license " | giant steps
06/3/2006 11:08 | So what do we reckon? | jockthescot
06/3/2006 10:38 | GS There is nothing wrong with long dated options on the price of gold (Cambridge's Lomos Poyatos?). Ad's words do indeed sound like wisdom. Ditto his conclusion. | nobull
06/3/2006 10:29 | Phillis, LOL! reminds me of a recent email from Moneyweek on avoiding inheritance tax which happily announced " You can change your will within two years of your death". Here's to hoping! | pecker1
06/3/2006 10:15 | Oh please, sounds like the wisdom words on the Cambridge thread ! | giant steps
06/3/2006 10:08 | Cezary => Until MKD completes its Turkish due dilligence, exercises the options and gives us some hard facts - there really is nothing to say, other than to provide some background info. I'm very familiar with "Cyprus type" deposits. They usually contain very large quantities of iron sulphide (pyrite or fools gold). The main use for pyrite is in making sulphuric acid. As it's a cheap bulk commodity it usually requires a local market. Without such a customer, the processing becomes more complex. The copper sulphides need to be seperated from the iron and that is usually a function of ore grain size and the amount of grinding required to liberate it. Furthermore any gold credits are dependant on it being free milling or being related to the copper sulphides. Gold locked in pyrite crystals can only be liberated through a sulphuric acid generating process. In such cases the cost of neutralising the acid, often exceeds the value of the gold. | ad1967mc
06/3/2006 10:08 | Info : max buy online 25K @ 18p, max sell online 35K @ 17.10p Wanting stock ? | giant steps
06/3/2006 09:48 | Phillis, Why not, it is Monday morning after all! Just topped up with a few. If the Uzbeks were prepared to ask OXS to JV Kosmanachi, I can't see why they should put the boot into MKD. Drive a hard bargain, yes, but to do the dirty, would have thought unlikely, hence the top-up. | pecker1
06/3/2006 09:48 | Never surprised to see the lurkers turn up ! Now we know OXUS are cashflow friendly, perhaps they are share price supportive as well !! | giant steps |
