07/3/2006 08:50 | Can't even get small amounts on line. I also have 2 limit orders waiting to fill up to 20p. | hectorp
07/3/2006 08:32 | with silver high I think you could argue now that the silver operations provide us with insurance and even a small bagger. 67Moz @ $10 oz for one project! That is a lot of cash in the bank. Maybe its not the khandiza license that is imminent? | greg the grinch
07/3/2006 08:32 | MAX quoted online buy 10K @ 19p, Max quoted online sell 35K @ 18.5p ! | giant steps
07/3/2006 08:18 | Hectorp - this market may be showing only small rises for MKD but i'm quite sure there is very little 'free stock' around Expect some squeeze. | giant steps
07/3/2006 08:16 | MKD Screen Prices bid 17.5p offer 19.0p, volume @ 08:15 124K / 11 trades OXS Screen Prices bid 67.0p offer 69.0p, volume @ 08:15 12K / 2 trades | giant steps
07/3/2006 08:11 | No readson for OXS to increase stake except imminent news of the licence. Odd favour the licence at least 4-1 on IMO. If Trew thought that MKD would not rocket soon he'd not have done this. - agree that OXS can take us out ( into the fold) but it would not be in the teens. When the licence is announced OXS wont be able to get the rest of the stock fast enough under 30p. IMO. | hectorp
07/3/2006 08:05 | no sellers means one thing. :o) | greg the grinch
07/3/2006 07:59 | Looks like OXS want MKD back in the fold as a fully paid up subsidiary. I think they will offer for the remaining shares and eexpect the JV to be approved. this will cushion the blow of losing Jerooy and i think is why they have done it. Interesting....picki regards Paul | polaris
07/3/2006 07:56 | MKD is clearley undervalued company since its birth Zinc & silver have increased in price the share price has gone down. Therfore if you can increase share price and own lots of those shares isnt that good business c | cee man
07/3/2006 06:51 | So you think the MM will rerate MKD on this RNS, I don't feel that convinced that they will for some reason. There's no extra demand just a change of ownership and speculation as to why they have done it, however OXS are due their interims soon (maybe today) that might clear the picture somewhat. | tee man
06/3/2006 23:29 | Yes, G.S. Stewart's frustration has grown in recent months. He and Trew know that MKD is worth a hell of a lot more than the market has placed on it this last year or so. No doubt news releases will follow on a joint venture, etc. I think that latecomers will not get a look in tomorrow. Today was the last day for cheap shares in MKD. I've got around 40k and I'm going to hang on to those as if they were my own teeth! | dogberry202000
06/3/2006 23:15 | db - yes, MKD needs to grow in it's own right to add value for OXUS Remember the Stewart comment "Our share price is one-tenth of where we should be!" So what did MKD pay the institutions ? North of 30p i imagine. ( will not be surprised to see a new mining partner ) Actually, looking back at todays interim release we 'as posters' failed to realise the missing commentary section named 'Outlook' !! | giant steps
06/3/2006 22:47 | That seems logical. They do not need to take over the rest as they already owned the majority anyway. By keeping it the way it is they can sell off part of the company again later to raise funds, once they more fully valued. | dogberry202000
06/3/2006 22:28 | I have just had a quick look at the take-over code, resulting in my understanding being that, individual entities owning more than 30% or concert parties owning more than 50% have to make an offer for the whole company. However as Oxus aleady own more than 50% of MKD due to a partial floatation, they are considered to already have control of the company and as such the Take-Over Code does not apply and hence there is no need for them to make an offer for the remainder as a result of the recent purchase. Please advise if you have a different understanding. | harryharris
06/3/2006 21:37 | Just checked my holding and there still there, qustions where does RAB capital fit if anywhere? who has oxus euro gold shares? do I buy more? always thought MKD more likely to double in price than oxus all the best to everyone c | cee man
06/3/2006 21:34 | MKD & OXS are as good as one. There is no battle to be fought. Re post 1516, Good to see some financial logic. Thanks.n.b.The ratio of investment decisions made from emotions against financial logic is 24 to 1. | eriktherock
06/3/2006 21:31 | Khandiza may be more likely to succeed under Oxus. I read somewhere that a decree was required to substitute Marakand for Oxus' old holding company that held the exclusive rights agreement to negotiate the development of Khandiza. Shortens the paperwork? | nobull
06/3/2006 21:28 | Of course MKD may be defending themselves from a bid ! So many possibilities. | giant steps
06/3/2006 21:20 | Using the boom or bust argument then only one issue, namely Khandiza 1 / If Khandiza is destined for failure then why are Oxus increasing their stake ? 2 / If Khandiza is set to succeed then why did institutions sell out? To reconcile - 1 / Khandiza more likely to succeed under Oxus or manoeuvre for substantial new investor 2 / Institutions given market premium incentive to accept off-market dealings | giant steps
06/3/2006 21:14 | Yes, I reckon the speculators will push-up the share price tomorrow. 22p at close I reckon. | eriktherock
06/3/2006 21:09 | There is a risk the minority will be compulsorily bought out. Is not the rule they have to get 90% of the outstanding shares they did not already own? MKD is now a case of goodbye downside, and goodbye significant upside. | nobull
06/3/2006 20:57 | They owned MKD before. No Co wants a small minority for admin reasons - annual reports, compliance , AGMs etc. If OXS bought an extra 24 % because they thought it was a good deal, the same logic applieds to the remainder. If they felt obliged to take out the professional institutions for a quiet life they would be expected to do the same for thePIs - and they will - but I say again do not expect generosity Giant Steps - do you believe there to be a large short position on the shares? | phillis
06/3/2006 20:52 | Phillis just being a miserable creep , as usual. He has no idea what OXS will do with MKD. | drewz
06/3/2006 20:40 | Surely OXS now own MKD. Why would they want or need to purchase the remaining 20 million or so shares held privately? | eriktherock |
