Looks like Jamie has perhaps moved into a more strategic role with the company, rather than day to day running. Could this be a good thing?

Nah, he's off to join another private company. That's where he'll start making some dosh so is where all his attention will be.
Non-exec and a consultant is probably only for a limited period. My guess is he conceded that in exchange for getting out of some of his notice period. It's less than 4 months until he leaves - surely he must have been on at least 6 months notice ?

Read ths RNS a bit more carefully and it seems he (Jamie) will be staying on the board - which is a partial relief.

Still quite shocked that he has stepped down as CEO though.

Quite a vicious counter rally in the US tonight. Could bode well for UK stocks tomorrow.

I hope the company put some of the retained dividend to work on a share buy back. Unless they do something to arrest this decline, there could be a perception that Mapeley is a sinking ship.

Another big volume day today. Seems to be quite a bit of stock exchanging hands, which suggests to me a distressed seller and a speculative buyer are busy at work behind the scenes.

New lows. Dear oh dear. This is getting a bit silly now. If Mapeley aren't careful they'll attract a bear squeeze and then the banks will loose confidence - like we have seen with so many other stocks lately.
