12/8/2008 11:46 | Sector is up sharply today. BLND reports later this week and it looks as though a fair amount of bear squeezing is going on ahead of that. MAY should re-rate pretty sharply if it looks as though market conditions have calmed down once again. Surprising to see likes of Land and BLND move up so sharply despite their large exposure to retail. | nickcduk
12/8/2008 11:36 | Volume virtually the same as yesterday's already. Def something going on here. | gsands
12/8/2008 10:50 | Santori, Have you read the results? | gsands
12/8/2008 10:47 | Gsands, why don't you just admit you were wrong, making the hat fit with technicals won't help you much. | utsushi
12/8/2008 10:26 | What the F happen today. I thought we will be in the 1100s atleast. | losses
12/8/2008 10:10 | Potential 'W' bottom forming on the chart. Problem is, that if it breaks, the technical traders may take it too high. Not good for share buy backs. | gsands
12/8/2008 10:07 | Anyone got L2? | gsands
12/8/2008 10:06 | We've already matched half of yesterdays volume and it's only 10am. I wonder if this is going to be a high volume today? Maybe the company are buying back stock today and therefore there are some decent sized bids on the order book, which is giving those who wish to sell the opportunuity to do so in size? | gsands
12/8/2008 10:01 | Support at c1000p? free stock charts from www.advfn.com | gsands
12/8/2008 10:01 | My own analysis of projected NAV write downs is that c1000p per share would be about the worst of it. This would imply a yield on their porfolio of c10% and in a lower interest rate environment (and getting lower??) that would be very acceptable. | gsands
12/8/2008 09:59 | The best use of company funds at the moment is the buy back of shares. There won't be a better return on cash invested anywere else at the moment. | gsands
12/8/2008 09:57 | Does look as though worst should be over for MAY in the short to medium term. They should really have cut the dividend altogether and started to make a dent in the debt pile instead. The fact they announced as large a dividend as they did suggests they are comfortable with their financial position. Falling rates should help going forward. Picked a few up around 964p. | nickcduk
12/8/2008 09:52 | Looks like there's a bit of forced selling going on. Volume building here as there seems to be plenty of participation on both sides of the book at this price level. | gsands
12/8/2008 09:42 | Added at 994. | gsands
12/8/2008 09:15 | Only takes one sell over 1000 shares at this time of the day to lower the bid substancially. Try buying 2-3000 shares and see what the offer is! | alitak
12/8/2008 09:11 | anyone got any thoughts on this big drop today? I dont see what's causing it. | scruffydave
12/8/2008 09:06 | Auction. I'll take some at this. 5% divi will do nicely. | gale dribble
12/8/2008 09:04 | bit of a markdown ther | badtime
12/8/2008 00:13 | The company owns a commercial property portfolio covering more than 2.3 million sq m (24.8 million sq ft) across the UK. Lehman Brothers analysts would not rule out a bid for Mapeley "over the next few months". | gsands
11/8/2008 19:29 | There was already one bid approach that sent the shares up to 1800p. I can see the same happening again before long if the share price does not rise significantly, on the basis of these results. | deadly
11/8/2008 16:49 | Nice finish. back in profit again. GS what sort of share price are you anticipating in couple of years time? | losses
11/8/2008 11:46 | Badtime that was also my understanding. | losses
11/8/2008 11:35 | exdiv date is wed..not the record date....soz been dealing in shares for 20 years plus...nvr had a prob yet if i held on the tues (day b4 normal exdiv date of a wed) | badtime
11/8/2008 11:19 | Will I be entitled to receive a dividend? In order to decide who should be paid the dividend the issuing company designates a date, known as the record date. The dividend will be paid to the list of shareholders who hold stock on the record date. To allow time to process stock settlements by the record date, stock exchanges set a date, usually two working days before the record date, known as the ex-dividend date. Anyone who purchases stock into their nominee account on or after the ex-dividend date will not receive the dividend as the purchase will not settle by the record date. DYOR | gsands
11/8/2008 11:02 | good one badtime most exdivs are usually on WED's | losses |
