29/1/2013 17:48 | So what does anyone make of the trades today? | temelco
28/1/2013 16:23 | Max avail currently 17,850 @ 49.43p so probably was "at market" with someone like TD who don't seem to have access to all the MM's for some reason. I had to pay over the spread for some I stuck in the pension at 49 and a bit p the other day. | drunken monkey
28/1/2013 14:42 | Looks like someone put in an order without any limit, high premium to pay when the offer is at 50p! | bookbroker
28/1/2013 08:06 | Buying continues this morning. | battlebus2
27/1/2013 18:11 | Nothing really to do with military investment, as they said more to do with obtaining accreditation and the necessary licences/authorisati | bookbroker
27/1/2013 16:38 | Yes, will be no problem fuffiling an order, there would only be a problem if production was not profitable, we allready know it is. they could use factoring even, and government contracts are a pretty cast iron guarrantee of payment. anyhow Im thinking the drop in price over the last few months was on the back of the usa fiscal cliff causing the usa to scale back millitary investment and personel, as well as order delay of course. This however should not be as big a problem for us as we are looking at the export market and i doubt we could sell less to the usa millitary and uk than we do at present. we are actually in a very much better position than we were when the share price was double its present price a year ago, infact the delayed order that started the gradual decline has now been giving. We have also got deeper into the required licences and regulations to aquire preffered supplier status, we are almost there, when we get their this is the game changer. manroy plc is far to cheap just now considering the prospects and even the contracts in place that should make us a profit this year. d.y.o.r im a holder and happy to stay that way | jimmy12345
27/1/2013 11:34 | Agree, in this sort of business if an order placed there is going to be a phased system of payments, how many contracts in general depend on the producer fronting all the costs of providing the goods until final delivery, and ever heard of project finance! | bookbroker
26/1/2013 18:16 | Never heard of instalments! | battlebus2
25/1/2013 12:07 | MMs play a very clever game. At this point they are probably in the position that they are short of stock, having sold several thousand just under 50p. They drop the price to pull some more in from weak holders. Then when they are ready ( long of stock) they push the price up again. Its the same on the way down.BUT thinkink back to the approx. 500,000 traded on 21st. My guess is that two mms took about half each. That being the case they are currently long which is why thay have pushed the price up - and the 48p trades are actually sales by the mms. So they are close to flat again if you add up what's happened over the last ten days. It would also mean the overhang is gone. All positive IMO. I'd LOVE to get into one of the presentations | temelco
25/1/2013 08:43 | Do not know why mms.widen the spread so, neither does it encourage sellers or buyers, merely a deterrent to provide liquidity, they simply do not wish to hold any stock. | bookbroker
25/1/2013 08:20 | Dibbs...or is it me stalking you? ;-) Few of us clearly have similar criteria in looking through the small cap arena & it's good when other respected posters agree via independent research. Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
25/1/2013 08:18 | Spread widened this morning though they still want 48p for 1000 shares. | battlebus2
25/1/2013 00:27 | GHF, At risk of sounding like a stalker.....I've also been buying a few MAN over the last few days! They've been on my watch list since their listing, however the recent results and Allenby note highlighted a potentially cheap and interesting situation. Some well respected investors taking interest here serve as another nice positive. Interesting times ahead, especially if contract wins materialise. Regards Dibbs | dibbs
24/1/2013 17:41 | Yep i'm expecting contract news very soon. | battlebus2
24/1/2013 17:26 | Healthy pull-back. Having poured over the 34-page broker note I feel Allenby's forecast 60p will be raised considerably if/when they secure the £8m contract & win any of the other orders that Allenby noted "...is negotiating on a SIGNIFICANT NUMBER of contracts..." Great risk/reward play offering capital growth & prospect of a progressive dividend policy. Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
24/1/2013 17:15 | Spoke too soon but only a matter of time. | battlebus2
24/1/2013 08:17 | Another tick up, last chance at 50p imv. | battlebus2
23/1/2013 22:26 | .. and half a million traded early doors this morning. Looks as if the overhang has been taken out. | temelco
23/1/2013 20:56 | Interesting situation here, lots of talk on other sites as regards small cos. about prospects relative to mkt caps. and the breakdown of shareholder registers and the particular product areas that these cos. are involved in. Regarding this co. it is patently clear that there are significant barriers to entry, and the relationship between end users and Manroy are paramount, taking significant time to build and sustain, on top of that there are immense regulatory hurdles to surmount. This co. has spent considerable time and effort on these issues, and the results, despite a few delays are hopefully coming to fruition over the next year or so. As regards shareholder support, just by looking at the shareholder register there is already a significant and loyal prescence, coupled with significant director involvement, this does make the free float relatively low, so quite big moves either way can occur, nevertheless it does look the co. despite a few setbacks is back on track. | bookbroker
23/1/2013 20:12 | For those interested, a full copy of the Allenby Capital broker note released on 17/1 can be downloaded here - Makes v interesting reading. Once FAA is confirmed in the US + if they can convert some of the significant contract opportunities into sales, there appears to be potential for plenty of upside from the current share price. | speedsgh
23/1/2013 19:48 | Re. meetings - I believe Allenby as new broker & nominated advisor are organising. It'll be with institutions & corporate clients. Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
23/1/2013 14:34 | Had to pay 49.7 but lots of upside potential | stanmore2
23/1/2013 13:48 | Getting hard to buy.... Just had to pay 49.15 for a measly 5,000 shares... | drunken monkey
23/1/2013 13:46 | Do you know who they are to Ghf? | allstar_07 |
