25/3/2013 16:44 | IC2 - yes I think so. More importantly wait for the 50 day MA to cross above the 150 and 200 MA. Supposedly this would be a very strong buy signal. The 25 day crossed the 50 day some time ago and is about to break through the 150 | temelco
25/3/2013 16:36 | Chart look rather strong also with support at 46p as well as 40p. Now I'm no chartist, but isn't that a head and shoulder pattern that has formed this year. Which I believe is a positive pattern? ic2... | interceptor2
25/3/2013 16:03 | Going to be very interesting to see what Allenby says in their next note. They had already said 70p and at a guess this is worth a few more 10ps on the price. | temelco
25/3/2013 15:31 | Manroy has certainly got momentum behind them now since the full year results. A company with an order book increasing to £19.0m from £11.0 in February, and valued on a PER of only 7.5 for 2013 and 4.3 for 2014 before todays major contract wins. £7.6m of todays announced contract were in Asia, so the are expending away from just UK and USA contracts, plus the statement said that they look forward to making further positive announcemnts during the coming months. I also like the look of the recent acquisition which was referred too today, that Manroy are capable of manufacturing more in house now. Sounds like margins could well improve, in addition to the major increase in contracts. I like what I have found out and researched since buying in this morning. I had been awaiting a catalyst for my intial investment, and todays news is certainly a strong catalyst imv. ic2... | interceptor2
25/3/2013 09:44 | Ahh getting closer back to my 80p buy in. Sometimes it pays to hold out. Allways knew this was a good buy, and still is. Wont be long till it gets over the 100 | jimmy12345
25/3/2013 08:42 | Well that's a start we are back to where we were last July. So now we are worth - what -£13 million. If what Glyn Bottomley says is right that means they should earn IRO £3-3.5m this financial year. ie under 4 PE. IC 2 is more than right.....The price will, of course, drop back, because the MMs need to get some stock in, but I'd say the trajectory of the share price will have shifted from down to up. One of the interesting things is the chart - believe it or not - is not yet screaming buy. But6 another week or two at or above these levels and it will | temelco
25/3/2013 08:29 | Good to see you ic2, I tried buying more first thing but couldn't get any firm offers. | allstar_07
25/3/2013 08:13 | Brought in here at the open. Cheaper than cheap as chips after todays order imo :o) ic2... | interceptor2
25/3/2013 07:57 | On the 4th of February they said the order book was worth £11 million so plus 8.7 today . Maybe your reading it in U.S. dollars allstar. Cheap as chips imv. | battlebus2
25/3/2013 07:53 | Great start to the day. | simon gordon
25/3/2013 07:50 | Looks great news...im confused though. Is the 19m order book for MANROY uk and musa combined? ghf posted that musa had an order book of $14mill after the agm. No mention of the outstanding 8m order that was anticipated? Thanks | allstar_07
25/3/2013 07:14 | AH HA very well done Manroy! Bookbroker you must be happy now? | battlebus2
25/3/2013 07:11 | Very perceptive temelco. My order for stock remained unfulfilled on Friday & like you I also thought something afoot. Very telling comment at the end of the announcement. Hopefully posters will display a degree of patience on this thread. Quite clear that the company have turned the corner & shareprice will take care of itself in due course. Excellent announcement this morning MAJOR CONTRACT AWARDS UPDATE Manroy Plc ("Manroy" or the "Group"), the AIM quoted leading UK Defence Contractor, is pleased to announce that it has received new contract orders totalling £8.7m from existing customers within Asia, Europe and the UK. Included as part of these contracts is the award of a major order for £7.6m from an existing customer in Asia. In addition, this £7.6m contract, which is subject to normal license approval, involves the placing of an intra-group order to Manroy USA for approximately £5.0m. The balance of the new contracts is made up from several smaller but nonetheless significant export orders totalling £1.1m. In addition, following the recent completion of its acquisition of Base (Manroy) Limited, further details of which were announced on 1 March 2013, the Group is pleased to announce that key elements of these new orders are now capable of being manufactured in-house. These new contracts increase the Group's order book to approximately £19m, more than 70% above the £11m announced on 4 February 2013. This compares with total revenue for the Group during the year ended 30 September 2012 of £7.4m. The Board anticipates that circa half of the Group's current order book will be delivered during the current financial year. Glyn Bottomley, Manroy's Chief Executive, said: "These major orders are the result of high customer confidence in Manroy following successful delivery of previous orders. They are a testament to the hard work of everyone within the Company and they take the Manroy order book to a new record level. These are exciting times for everyone involved at Manroy, and we look forward to making further positive announcements during the coming months." --- Regards, GHF | glasshalfull
24/3/2013 15:47 | I've just been rereading the acquisition of BASE. Far be it for me to say, but this seems to be a pattern developing. I bet there are lots of little defence related companies turning over £1-5million with ageing proprietors just desperate to get bought out. If Manroy can integrate them over time, we really might have something..... | temelco
22/3/2013 16:23 | Hmmmmm must be something afoot. You don't get some days of virtually no trade and suddenly everything springs to life unless.... | temelco
22/3/2013 13:51 | Could well have been and would explain the bounce unless more contract news is in the offing. | battlebus2
22/3/2013 13:48 | I wonder if, through my rose tinted specs, that 25k @ 44 was a seller clearing? | gleach23
22/3/2013 13:47 | Bookbroker looks likely we will finish the week in style. | battlebus2
22/3/2013 12:37 | Just wait....... (OK I know some of us have been waiting years, so what's another 2 or 3?)At this level the company is capitalised around £8million. The American business alone is worth much more. | temelco
22/3/2013 12:14 | Come on! patience lol. | battlebus2
22/3/2013 12:10 | Interesting to understand why people still selling at these levels, do they disbelieve all the hype over prospects that the management keep spouting on about, or are just bored with a company that seems to struggle to find any traction going forward! | bookbroker
16/3/2013 14:14 | its on a strong 3 month graph its pretty standard for lower trend to get tested before move up on techs alone 57p looks obtainable soon and through in the £8 mill orde cap 9 mill at some point 70-90% day , the company is winning contracts and making smart moves for a big future , ith so few shares in issue and directors buying at 57p at this level is a strong buy . | galacticus
08/3/2013 18:31 | I will stand corrected, maybe a little melodramatic of me, however they operate in an industry that in many senses they would be better off as a private co. or part of a larger organisation, the nature of their business being very unpredictable with strict controls over export licences notwithstanding defence cutbacks in two of their biggest markets. They cannot afford anymore slip-ups if they are to retain the goodwill of the investment community, and need to deliver on their press releases. | bookbroker
08/3/2013 16:40 | Bookbroker what are you talking about they are not struggling to stay afloat. You will get up days as well as down days. Shareholder value will come to the patient imv. | battlebus2 |
