blimey, Gartmore have trimmed nearly 2% and these have still flown - must be Swann's buying that has caused them to sell him some I guess.

Well I think there's plenty waiting to buy the first dip they get the chance on and there hasn't been a dip yet so I doubt we need a large one to get the buyers back in here.

Good luck TwelveFinches - but it will be no fun being 'twelve inches' if something is 'afoot' and you're not long imo :-)

don't think I'll be selling yet - a few punters taking profits but I think matey buying 100K @ 73p wasn't out to make just 10%

similar sort of thing felt here Sven.

If matey is buying more at this level it looks ruddy horny.

have this strange feeling somebody knows that this co has secured something big in yank land. Just a thought, may be totally wrong, either that or Swann is buying even more.

Hi MW .. weather is great here, just when I am about to go on holiday to Turkey on Monday. Luckily my hotel has a good internet connection, so I will be watching SOLA like a hawk. Results next week so they say.

MNS looking good to me Sven. Glad my prescence made no great difference to the climb.

Hi callie, how's Germany today. Like you, I am also in Sola.
Both still very good holds.
I now use HL for my shares as well as UT / ISAs etc.
They are not the cheapest but very reliable.
I transfered from Selftrade because come year end, having just one piece
of paper with all my capital gains listed, makes life easier.
The discounts on funds & loyalty bonuses make up for the 3 or 4 quid
difference in dealing charges as far as I'm concerned.
Good luck.

Selftrade's pretty good, and no extra charge for telephone (but the telephone service is not great, especially at busy times, i.e. when you really need it). Drawback is late payment of dividends (often) and lousy interest on cash. Can be hard to get attention if anything goes wrong.

I use the Stocktrade telephone execution-only service for my Sipp - it's pretty good, but more expensive. Better interest on cash. Very good service if things go wrong.

I also use Fastrade: inferior online dealing platform compared with Selftrade, but cheaper (extra £10 per trade for telephone though). Reasonable interest on cash. Very good service if anything goes wrong.

They all have their points. You need to have a good look at them before making up your mind.

Hi Dio .. thinking of going across to Selftrade also. They appear to be a decent outfit. Do you find Stocktrade better than them.?

Agreed

They went quite liquid an hour ago which suggests stock became available, but the price is holding up well. Up in fact.

Looks to me that this stock is undergoing a complete rerate. So we shall see.

Timing may be the only real issue, ie timing of all the various options. In the past it has always been, bit of a slow burning fuse.

But clearily new mgmt, are taking the bull by the horns.
