10/6/2024 18:43 | Nice news on the deleveraging front today. I think cjac was expecting something like this, and Mr. Market seems mildly appreciative... | ![]() edmundshaw
10/6/2024 09:25 | Aviva shares fell 10.3p to 467.6p after analysts at JPMorgan removed their “overweight Wealth manager M&G moved the other way, up 1.4p to 199.7p after the same firm backed the shares to reach 250p. | unastubbs
10/6/2024 08:05 | Bought a few more at 1.98. | ![]() dosser50
09/6/2024 17:24 | Tuftymatt, an excellent post! You do have to be in it to win it, hence I never totally sell up, a growing long position.Working the odds isn't straight forward, so play the game!! | ![]() rongetsrich
09/6/2024 11:53 | Perhaps then if a member of the Executive Committee stops buying each month, it means either they've run out of money, run out of confidence or takeover talks are underway? Perhaps L&G's strategy update this next week is to buy M&G? :-) | ![]() pete160
09/6/2024 09:11 | Rongetsrich, I agree with what you say but the only reason I always hold here is for the potential of a takeover to rear it's head again. A long shot I know but you never know what is around the corner. Good luck all 👍🏻 | ![]() tuftymatt
07/6/2024 14:08 | It is definitely overdone, but from my 4 years of trading here, it is dead money in between dividends. The time to top up!!I started with a price not far off 250 in 2021, 10k shares. Took time and patience by I sold them without ever adding, at same price after many months. I have watched them, traded them and have even some in a long term investment. Once the hysteria of a Labour government abates it will be close to the interim dividend, in will come divi hunters and around the buoy we go again.I'd love to sit my backside and take the money, but with just a few clicks of a mouse this is an easy money maker! | ![]() rongetsrich
07/6/2024 14:02 | If following what a member of the M&G Group Executive Committee is doing, then YES, I am a lemming! | ![]() martyre
07/6/2024 14:00 | In my case, it is a matter of averaging down as I hold for the dividends. So,my average price was £2.20 but is now down to £2.05.I will continue to add at below £2.05 to bring my average further down. With a 10% annual dividend yield I think the fall is overdone. | ![]() martyre
07/6/2024 13:03 | MARTYRE, do you have a price above which you won’t buy more? I will probably be finished buying by the time my price is reached, around 209/210. Arbitrary figures, but I see this worth 220, so I want to make a profit on the buy. Thing is, I’m back to my dark thoughts again, of selling before the divi. Maybe just sell half this time. | ![]() rongetsrich
07/6/2024 12:44 | Are you a lemming? | ![]() helen troy
07/6/2024 10:48 | Well, the M&G Chief Strategy and Transformation Officer Benoit Mace is buying £20,000 worth of shares every month under a recurring trading plan.Good enough signal for me to top up my holding. | ![]() martyre
06/6/2024 23:33 | Who is adding at the moment, and up to what price?I will finish off my buying at the start of July, I buy twice a month. I will have doubled my holding and have 2 months of a year funded by MNG. Nice powerhouse of a share, with bags of potential once the interest rate starts moving. | ![]() rongetsrich
03/6/2024 08:17 | You seem to have completely missed the point. The 50m shares were placed after the results when share price was much higher, it took 2 months to work through them, hence the drop. | ![]() modform
03/6/2024 06:14 | "50 million shares were sold at 199" also 50 million shares were bought at 199... | unastubbs
02/6/2024 22:05 | I may be wrong but this could be close to the bottom. It looks like 50 million shares were sold at 199.1, this was probably worked through since the results. There may still be some overhang which may take a bit longer to work through. | ![]() modform

31/5/2024 20:37 | I think it’s due a rerate. They will call the 24 bond and maybe go further with a buyback of the usd bond. Leverage comes down to 27% s2 and improves cashflow. Key challenge is CIR of asset manager. Rossi is on the hook for this so we shall see | ![]() cjac39

24/5/2024 10:37 | That is low. So 175p to 180p on card as someone predicted here. | ![]() action |
