07/1/2022 07:54 | since ADVT appears mainly cash | velvetide
07/1/2022 07:53 | like a placing to ADVT at a 20% (?) premium and a change of management for SAA, I hear VM is revered | velvetide
07/1/2022 07:52 | This needs a counter bidder to appear now.. | tallprawn
07/1/2022 07:46 | Wtf ? Merger ?Advt is half the size of SAA | value viper
07/1/2022 07:46 | Not that impressed with that RNS. Basically shows they don't have the cash to buy the business outright. So they intend to pay in paper. Paper in what? The buyer appears to be a shell so why would shareholders in SAA share their business with another load of shareholders who don't bring a useful asset to the party? You can't merge with thin air | markie7
07/1/2022 07:37 | Potential merger RNS | x54v
06/1/2022 20:53 | Likely bid will be 250 minimum imo. It will then be seen if there are any other buyers. Limited downside given recent purchases and bid . There is a gap to be filled at circa 290/300 eventually from the initial drop . I am long and have been for a while and remaining so. Best of luck to all | kipper7
06/1/2022 11:27 | IF '21 PBT is £20m, then EBITDA could be c.£22-£23m. 12* £22m = £264m, plus cash of £40m = £304m. equivalent to about 245p a share. 12* being a reasonable take out multiple for an AIM listed stock with a patchy record in marketing services. Maybe this could be higher. Also, the fact that the premium paid on the shares yesterday was so high (25%) - means that it took a while to get the shares behind teh scenes (they would have started at 160p, got told "no", etc etc up to £2. So, any bid premium on the remaining shares needs to be set off the pre-annnouncement price of 190p-. 30% on 190p = 247p So, somewhere around the 245p mark looks bottom of range. PLUS the fact that trading is good, means it ought to reach >£2 on its own without the help of a bid..... definite hold | markie7
06/1/2022 10:33 | 245p would be a £300m market cap, so that's my guess. | tromso1
06/1/2022 10:27 | Even without the bid the price was deserving of breaking above 200p given current trading. My guess 240p to get some consideration though you might easily justify more. | its the oxman
06/1/2022 10:22 | well market IMO thinks we are going to see a much higher offer.....£2.10 on the offer....DYOR | qs99
06/1/2022 08:43 | Any takers on the "guess the offer price" if it comes in? Brokers will work out pdq what her average "in" price is, what debt can be coped with and therefore where a take out offer needs to be. IMO should be between £2.45 and £3....let's see, DYOR | qs99
06/1/2022 08:29 | indeed Babbler, maybe market hasn't shown too much interest yet as no offer has been received as yet. Does it "put them in play" though? Probably not given the stake held by her. So its down to whether she wants it badly enough and her average in price. Underlying trading and "ahead of" type announcements, should underpin a much higher offer IMO so let's hope NEDs do their job! DYOR | qs99
06/1/2022 08:15 | offer will need to be higher though so just hold. No point selling below 2 when that's what she just paid. | babbler
06/1/2022 08:07 | Materially thru £2, yeah maybe 20 years ago, UK investing env is akin to zombie land nowadaze, beyond pathetic | velvetide
06/1/2022 07:11 | well that should see it materially through £2 IMO....let's see what offer comes in, but she has been buying from a low point, so her average "in" should help massively......so what price a take-out? £3? DYOR | qs99
06/1/2022 07:04 | The Board of M&C Saatchi notes the recent press speculation and confirms that it has received a preliminary approach from AdvancedAdvT Limited, a vehicle connected with Vin Murria, a director of the Company, which may or may not result in an offer for the Company. | bigbigdave
06/1/2022 03:55 | Once we have a cup and handle we can start on the tea leaves. | deanowls
06/1/2022 00:05 | Everything's pointing to a substantial rise in the share price now.Even my chartist friend has invested here as he states the cup and handle on the 3 year chart is complete and has a range of 280 to 300. Not into that myself but who knows.Let's hope so. | riviera1069
05/1/2022 22:53 | “AdvancedAdvt – which is run by entrepreneur Vin Murria – said buying 12m shares was ‘a good investment opportunity’. It will fuel speculation that Murria, 60, is looking to buy M&C Saatchi as it recovers from an accounting scandal in 2019.” “Murria is now overseeing a 22.3 per cent stake in the group worth £51million.” | x54v
05/1/2022 21:32 | So who is on the other end of this buying? Talk in the market of a bid: "Vin Murria, the software entrepreneur, has raised speculation of a takeover bid for M&C Saatchi after her acquisition vehicle bought a 10pc stake in the business. Her shell investment firm AdvancedAdvT has acquired a 9.8pc holding worth £24m in M&C Saatchi.." SAA are saying they do not comment on such speculation. They must know who is on the other end of that transaction then to put out that kind of article. Hardly a concrete takeover story but there you go. All imo DYOR | sphere25
05/1/2022 16:55 | It may well be a tactical move? We'll find out the motive soon enough. | kfr20
05/1/2022 16:39 | she is a director. if she sells she would have to announce by now. So, Advt have got their stock from elsewhere, Aviva have sold 1%, that leaves the rest to be accounted for. Hopefully ex Directors, but lets see if there are more TR-1s to come. We could do without insitutional selling I think | markie7
05/1/2022 16:25 | it doesn't say that | markie7 |
