18/7/2011 00:11 | 49 North just took a placement in this outfit. Greenlight is mostly a lithium play in western Nova Scotia, just down the road from what will become my retirement estate. It has been a dog of a stock, with not much constructive happening, but this may now be changing. The incumbent CEO, one Ron Bourgeois, who sounds like he should be in the Fast Show, has been ousted and some more professional looking managers installed. Viable lithium deposits are actually quite rare, much more so than the mis-named REEs, so it might be worth taking a look. There is also what to me looks like a rather interesting gold prospect nearby called Kempt or Kemptville. This was supposedly being drilled earlier this year but the results are overdue if not gone missing entirely. Low shares out and the market cap is not even worth mentioning. | ![]() mattybuoy

07/7/2011 06:29 | I don't believe Gastem have any rights on Anticosti as far as I could find, although they are opposite on the Gaspe mainland...? | ![]() jonno1
06/7/2011 23:24 | Tourism ... This is Anticosti Island, mentioned above with respect to Petrolia. Quite Arthurian isn't it? It's very beautiful obviously. Strange to think that there's loads of oil under the surface. The island is for the most part uninhabited, except by lots of deer. It's only real economic use is for hunting, since the coastline is extremely hostile to shipping. That's where the name Anticosti comes from. If Québec does decide to allow shale gas/oil to proceed, then the place will likely be completely transformed. Other companies with oil and gas rights on the island are:- CDH - Corridor Resources (large) JNX - Junex (small) GMR - Gastem (small) TAE - TransAmerican Energy (small) | ![]() mattybuoy
