12/6/2011 20:32 | Here's something a bit different. This is a Brazilan company with a market cap of about $4bn (the stock is a Venture-listed GDR which comprises c.500m "shares"). The CEO is a geologist, one Marcio Mello, who was apparently the main man behind the recent huge finds offshore Brazil. To sum up, they have an un-risked 30bn boe onshore in the Amazon basin (mostly gas) and an un-risked 5bn boe offshore Namibia. The plan is to be producing 50,000 bpd by 2015 and 1,000,000 bpd by 2020. You may find that latter figure a tad over-ambitious (as I do), nevertheless the thing could be rather cheap if all those "un-risked" hydro-carbons really are there. | ![]() mattybuoy
09/6/2011 00:28 | While we're in the vicinity of "BC's Golden Triangle" ... Teuton (V.TUO) has updated its website. Some nice piccies of the Rockies etc. Looks just like Tunbridge Wells ... | ![]() mattybuoy
08/6/2011 22:40 | Pretium ... A tidy 18,755 g/t over 0.6m, in a hole which is 60m away from the previous multi-kilogram stonker. Which means that it ain't nuggets, it's veins. Nice :-) | ![]() mattybuoy
08/6/2011 00:01 | Argosy Energy audio webcast and presentation, 22 minutes worth given by the CEO. The guy is definitely not a promoter, but the competence shines through (to me anyway). | ![]() mattybuoy
07/6/2011 15:56 | more decent TAG news | ![]() jonno1
06/6/2011 12:30 | I have bought a few CCE.V & RUU to spread it out a bit, also IB.V & BER.V look very cheap down here | ![]() jonno1
06/6/2011 12:09 | Jonno - I have 49k GWG shares and am looking at increasing given the current market price | ![]() jimbowen30
06/6/2011 10:58 | I've still got 25k of GWG | ![]() jonno1
05/6/2011 16:35 | Here is another no-brainer Alberta Bakken play. 63m shares (est.) for 260m market cap. Recently raised $130m in equity, most of which is still in the bank. So the EV is $120m, say. They have lots more acreage than Argosy, but possibly in not quite such a sweet spot. It's still good though, and as a result they have a farmout with an un-named "major oil and gas company". | ![]() mattybuoy
04/6/2011 15:40 | If you want to hold just one Canadian stock and you are a current or potential GOLD bull...read on...this is a seriously undervalued, well-managed and easily accessible resource: | ![]() skyship
04/6/2011 14:53 | OK. I think it's a bit pricey for where it is though. Unless the Chinese want to buy it of course ;-) Meanwhile, at the link below you will find a slew of media articles about DNI Metals and black shale. Good hype. | ![]() mattybuoy
04/6/2011 04:11 | Hi Matty, Yes I did, with a fair wind it could have a good run, IMO. | ![]() andy
04/6/2011 00:42 | Assuming you mean Colonial Coal? If so then yes a nice obvious no-brainer with good creds. WTN mark 2 ... 79m shares for $126m market cap. | ![]() mattybuoy
03/6/2011 11:28 | CAD doing well! | ![]() andy
03/6/2011 06:49 | Nice news from TAO, you still holding that one Matt? | ![]() jonno1
03/6/2011 00:46 | Well whaddya know. A tipsheet has noticed Elissa Resources, only a few days after being mentioned here. The result - a 50% gain on a bad hair day. Why didn't I buy any of the sucker? Or why don't I run a tipsheet? LOL | ![]() mattybuoy
01/6/2011 00:37 | DNI The tipsheet spike erupts in force - up 30% today on 1.5m shares traded. There are 59m shares for $20m market cap. So it's still not exactly BHP Billiton, and it looks like the pumping will continue through "June/July" with a site visit to be written up. I suppose it's almost reasonable to hype this if you look at it in terms of contained metal value, based on a resource which could well be in the 10bns of tonnes. Just ignore the grade ... :-) FNR will continue to be how I play this, personally. | ![]() mattybuoy
31/5/2011 12:10 | jim- yes I have a small interest in GBB as with many would be gold miners!! I think the problem here is the lack of drilling, 2 drills are simply not enough if they are to achieve Osisko status in the current gold bull market. They could just miss out, I do think there is plenty of gold but will the 101 say more than the original block model of 2.5M ozs or so? The 101 has been well publicised for end of June but the company doesn't always deliver. I would give it another 6 weeks. | ![]() holism
30/5/2011 19:48 | Added GSY to header. Why is it beautiful? Well consider this ... It came to market in October 2008 (yes then) and at that point the management put loads of money in to the company at a price of $4.50 a share, a price it has yet to attain on the market. Confidence or what? | ![]() mattybuoy
30/5/2011 16:27 | Gold Bullion Development (GBB.V) up 22% today. Anyone else hold? Lots of activity in the Granada area with Osisko buying a stake in THG. GBB have a NI 43-101 due around end of June | ![]() jimbowen30
30/5/2011 15:56 | Meanwhile, Pretium has started drilling on the high-grade Brucejack zone. Eight rigs, 50,000m. They ought to find something ... :-) | ![]() mattybuoy
30/5/2011 15:39 | Here's another oil patch junior worth a glance. Border Petroleum (V.BOR) It's not been on the market long (doesn't even have a website yet) but has already attracted attention as one of only two pure plays with land in the Slave Point/Red Earth area of northern Alberta, which is of course yet another fracking resource play jobbie. 66m shares for $28m market cap | ![]() mattybuoy
30/5/2011 15:32 | Yep. He participates on Stockhouse and is a big fan of FNR amongst others. Well worth reading IMO. | ![]() mattybuoy
30/5/2011 15:26 | Matt, not sure if you have seen this guy before , but good insight to small and microcap Canadian Juniors, with low shares | ![]() jonno1 |
