22/1/2018 15:02 | The probability is for results to be released tomorrow. The reason I say this is because in each of the last 4 years results have been released on the seventh working day before the end of January, which would be tomorrow. | interceptor2

19/1/2018 17:34 | Emirates Airlines’ $16 Billion Order Keeps Airbus Making A380s January 19, 2018 Emirates Airlines has agreed to purchase 20 Airbus A380s with an option for 16 more in a deal that could total up to $16 billion, the companies said. Lagging sales of the 500-passenger Airbus superjumbo had put its future in doubt, but this order will keep it in production for the foreseeable future. That fact was not lost on Emirates Airlines CEO Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, who noted “this order will provide stability to the A380 production line.” More Airbus orders , perhaps more work for LPA on the back of the news | buywell3
18/1/2018 21:48 | Maybe they should buy Carclo-the management there is useless. | meijiman
18/1/2018 11:33 | Indeed. But it rather begs the Q of why the company can't fix dates for its announcements. I used to look at some bigger companies (quarterly reporting) who would set out a calendar for the year ahead. | meijiman
18/1/2018 11:11 | well I thought wrong! Tiger | castleford tiger
17/1/2018 17:55 | The company is not too well known Which might suit some holders Good numbers and future guidance might attract new Institutional buying The Railways is needed badly as roads reach gridlock Plus LED lighting is now a 19% CAGR area | buywell3
17/1/2018 17:46 | Who knows eh! Can see there being a right Ho ha about this outfit. They were clearly given deals to help steady the ship. Bloody big mess. Well I think tomorrow the wait is over. Going forward I expect them to announce they are still at full tilt. Be amazed if it does not break out past last high about a year ago as visibility now is much better. However markets are weird! Ireland to put out a new note as well TP 220/230 ? Tiger | castleford tiger
17/1/2018 17:30 | I wonder if the demise of Carillion might mean more work coming LPA's way via another contractor that the UK Govt will now have to allocate HS2 work to ? | buywell3
16/1/2018 19:40 | Worth more than 225 on what you will see Thursday. Last chance tomorrow to buy with a 1 at the front I feel Tiger | castleford tiger
15/1/2018 17:50 | 170p test now next 180p should follow Then 200p Depending on HS2 outcome and Government plans for the Railways LPA could get bought out ... 225p at this time might swing it In 2019 this could be 275p with a decent Brexit outcome ie we leave and go our own way. | buywell3
15/1/2018 17:32 | ansc don't trust that data its guesswork still 30p available by Thursday in my opinion tiger | castleford tiger
15/1/2018 14:32 | More sells than buys marked so far today yet the shares are marked up 8p. Strange ... | ansc
15/1/2018 14:18 | Breaking upwards now - new highs in the not-too-distant future? | rivaldo
13/1/2018 17:47 | At the half way stage we were just 10k behind last year 772 v 782 2nd half last time was 728 profit. I expect 900-950k this time Adding in the exc gain of 226 I get 1.90 based on the lower of my forecast. We could squeeze 2 million and current year looks strong. Valuation must be 12x so a market cap of 24 m looks fair.( currently just under 13) Could get a 20% hike on Thursday before a bit of profit taking and then a run up to 220p to give us same valuation as today. Clearly that's allowing for a flat current year ( which is silly) as we are having a much better first half. My 2018 target raised to 250p with the possibility of us seeing 300p if the figures are really stonking. Good luck. Tiger | castleford tiger
12/1/2018 15:44 | Chartwise 170p is next resistance 180p next Decent results with numbers to go with them ... plus a decent forward looking statement and a challenge of 190p looks possible A great set of results with a DIVI uplift , plus a positive trading statement and £2 has a chance Chartwise £2 would be very good indeed for the future | buywell3
10/1/2018 17:15 | Me too Working an additional night shift in the new LED Division due to more orders would be good | buywell3
10/1/2018 11:01 | Thanks. Still think it best to announce a date a few weeks before so everyone can plan their day/timetable. I'm expecting good things .......... | meijiman
10/1/2018 09:25 | meijiman It is planned the results will be next Thursday. There is a very small chance that they will not hit this date. tiger | castleford tiger
10/1/2018 09:12 | Most companies announce results days well in advance. LPA seem to think this information is a state secret. | meijiman
10/1/2018 08:52 | not long to wait and I still see 2 m after the excp gain and a jump in price to circa 200p tiger | castleford tiger
29/12/2017 16:44 | One would imagine that UK Rail will get further Government cash to grow services that will be more commensurate with UK Growth Following Brexit , goods and people need to be moved around the country in a more speedy, safe and economic fashion than the present road network provides. One would imagine that there could be a couple of potential buyers of LPA waiting for Brexit to end before they pull the trigger. Meantime the LED Division in its new larger premises seems to have got off to a flying start. Further progress in LED Division will be the icing on the cake There remains the possibility that LPA could be split into 2 entities at some point if the LED Division grows at a hefty clip. Happy New Year to the LPA BOD | buywell3
29/12/2017 13:19 | Still in Tandem and down. Bill didn't take the tender offer and down. EKT sold the majority at a loss still have a small position. That's the bad The good DART bought at 16p and held 2.8% at one stage. Still got a good but much reduced stake. LPA bought at 30p via a private broker placing many moons ago. Still holding and increased my stake. VCP Bought at 100p Got 282p a share back and 5 x as many shares following split. So new cost 20p today 820p. So whilst there are failures there are some nuggets. I always post good and bad. Tiger | castleford tiger |
