21/3/2016 12:05 | Excellent sounding trading update as expected, plus a contract win. | jamielein
18/3/2016 12:31 | Not aimed at you, cfro, in fact I phrased that sentence poorly; I had a different company in mind when I wrote it. Unlike some threads, LPA has very few posters thankfully so the few who do contribute are actual investors ..... makes a nice change these days. Not sure I agree with your illiquid theory 'tho as, by my calculations, there are around 6.0m floating shares. Tightly held maybe but the Mingy Machs don't help by often wanting a generous 'pound of flesh' with their quoted spread. As with many small cap companies, patience is the key. | ansc
18/3/2016 10:58 | Not me ansc, i've been buying if anything.... Shares are very illiquid so bound to move about quickly. | cfro
18/3/2016 09:25 | Traders, having made a quick buck on the recent spike, now disappearing through the exit before Monday's AGM statement. Funny how familiar names suddenly appear on a thread! 'bye ..... | ansc
16/3/2016 12:07 | Other investors also buying in today ahead of the AGM on Monday. I know it is never possible to know the tone of a future statement, but when sentiment expressed only 8 weeks ago, = "The recovery started in earnest at the end of the third quarter and has accelerated since" then the chances of a positive AGM statement should be rather high imo. | interceptor2
15/3/2016 13:42 | I've been buying in the market today. Narrow spread early on but widened a little now. Volume building nicely.. Worth noting that these went ex-div Thursday last with payment of 1p due April 1st. Well worth having imo. | cfro
14/3/2016 16:39 | New breakout today :O) ansc, appreciate the reminder about the AGM next week, it prompted me to add to my holding before the AGM, which I expect has a good chance of being rather upbeat, worth highlighting part of the statement from January's results announcement. "The recovery started in earnest at the end of the third quarter and has accelerated since. The first quarter of the current year has been particularly strong, exceeding our internal expectations. We are benefitting from the excellent order entry previously announced during the year, which is now translating into sales growth." | interceptor2
14/3/2016 14:16 | The AGM's a week today, is anyone going? London meetings are normally a 'no, no' for me as I'd have to go by train/underground and would take up the best part of a day. With only 20k of LPA shares not really economic sense. Should be a illuminating meeting (excuse the pun!). | ansc
01/3/2016 10:29 | 114 shares available 30,000 wanted. tells me ITS GOING UP Tiger | castleford tiger
25/2/2016 16:17 | 99flake anyone? :-) New highs today. Amazing how that just small 1k or 2k buys are pushing this up. | cfro
25/2/2016 11:04 | agree but its not silly cheap unless we are upgrading again which I think is very possible. A | castleford tiger
25/2/2016 10:01 | Will be interesting to keep an eye on transactions now, doesn't take much to move the share price Buyer knows something? Just needs to look at the increasing order book to form a judgement about prospects imo. | interceptor2
25/2/2016 09:26 | market took that 23k sell and wants 25k more at over 95p. a buyer knows something tiger | castleford tiger
24/2/2016 15:44 | Sprung into life all of a sudden! | cfro
08/2/2016 09:12 | A small tick-up. Looks to me like there isn't much loose stock around. Any kind of small buy lifts the price. | cfro
26/1/2016 18:28 | just gone through last years numbers again and......... GP was 525k down on sales down 600k ? at 27% GP you would expect just 140k reduction. distribution was down 140k and admin 35k So had that 525k of reduced in line with GP to give us 385 k The figures may have looked much better, Creative Accounting going on in my opinion. Hopefully to unwind this year. Tiger | castleford tiger
25/1/2016 16:22 | so first upgrade to 6.2p which is just over 800k Again I think caution has been used and I expect a half time up grade to 7.5p or about a million. I feel 2017 may well get to 10p. Eitherway the shares are pretty well underpinned and very hard to buy. I remain bullish on these. private punter another good update thanks. tiger ps results oUt soon on MFX and with eps at 2p plus the shares at 11p look set for a big jump. I am a holder so DYOR. | castleford tiger

24/1/2016 09:14 | "...The nature of our LED lighting offering has changed from the provision of electronic light engines alone, to the supply of luminaires in addition to the light engines, and luminaire assembly is very space consuming. The Group is now busy supplying luminaires for Intercity Express Programme (IEP), Queensland New Generation Rail (QNGR), Abellio ScotRail (ASR) and Abellio Greater Anglia as well as light engines for Riyadh Metro, other rail projects in Europe and for the energy sector. A range of high performance commercial and infrastructure LED based lighting products has also been launched and initial orders received and satisfied." Also goes on to talk of expansion of their Normanton lighting facility. We all know of jam-tomorrow shares where tomorrow never comes, but my feeling is that this will see considerable growth in this financial year. | dozey3

22/1/2016 16:51 | Nice balanced article Hastings. I know you meet the company sometimes, so if you do it would be really interesting to hear what they say about the LED part of the business as they don't seem to mention it any more in the finals. The reason they were my tip for the NFSC 2014 was that the LED business was growing at 60 % and had really high margins:- That investment case no longer exists as revenue has gone backwards since 2013 results. I will be happy to be proven wrong but this company has had one too many false dawns for me. If you trust management and they can get to £20 million in the next 2 years, operational gearing could kick in and this could be a winner. I am happy to watch from the sidelines for now as I was burnt by Pollocks bullishness when he wrote a very bullish mail 1 month before a dyer trading update. Seeing is believing for me here. Anyway, best of luck and I'll look for further updates with interest. Best Stuart | stewy_18
22/1/2016 15:47 | W H Ireland's price target [104p] seems pretty conservative to me in view of the company's confident tone. | ansc
